The oil is great, but the scent is not!
My hair is medium-thick and a bit over shoulder length. It is bleached with blonde highlights, quite dry, and gets frizzy easily. Hair oil is something that is part of my daily routine and that I have used for many years. Amika's oil is a bit thinner than the one I usually use (Lanzas), but I see that as a positive since Lanzas can make my hair greasy if I accidentally use too much. With Amika, however, you can apply quite a lot without the hair becoming greasy. I have used it both on wet hair after washing and on dry hair, usually before going to bed. It works just as well on both dry and wet hair! The oil absorbs incredibly easily and leaves the hair frizz-free and with a nice shine. I like that the product has heat protection, so good! Something else I also like is the bottle and its design. It has a lovely color that stands out, and the pump is very easy to use and dispenses the right amount. It is a concentrated product that lasts a long time. The only thing I don't like about it is the scent. It is very sweet and a bit stuffy. I don't like it at all and it gives me flashbacks to old air fresheners that hung in old cars when I was growing up, the kind that made you feel a bit nauseous. However, it is positive that the scent is strongest right when you put it in your hair, then thankfully it disappears quickly from the hair. It has a good price at 359 SEK, good considering how concentrated it is. It will last forever. So unfortunate about the scent because otherwise, it is a fantastic product! Worth the money 🙏🏼
A hair oil I warmly recommend 🤌🏼 Reduces frizz, smells good, hair doesn’t get greasy, and it’s economical to use. I use 1-3 pumps and massage it into my hands before applying it to the lengths. The best hair oil I've tried
I have dry, thin, and fine hair, so I need a lot of moisture but can't use too heavy products. I fell in love with this oil immediately; it suits my hair really well and keeps it shiny and healthy. Like the oil but the pump leaks
Really like this hair oil, feels a bit serum-like and works on my thick hair. Mainly use it after styling and to refresh ends/lengths after brushing. Have used Olaplex before but think the consistency of this one is better. Nice scent, not too strong since you only use 1-2 pumps. The best hair oil I've ever tried, and I've tried several of the popular ones on the market. My hair becomes so shiny and easy to brush. It also smells absolutely wonderful and I can use a lot without my hair looking or feeling greasy, and I have very thin hair!! Okay oil but there are better ones
Light oil that can be used on wet or dry hair. I've mainly used it on dry hair (I have curly, frizzy hair) but find it too light if you're looking for proper moisture for ends and lengths. My hair absorbs it too quickly and the ends feel dry again fast. The scent reminds me of Lanza plant serum and I can't say I absolutely love it. It's okay but a bit too mild. The pump gets really messy around the pump part, needs a lot of wiping off.
