I have previously used other products from Bondi and they have been fantastic, so I had high hopes for this one too.
I took a bit of a risk and put it on overnight since the product is supposed to last for eight hours.
I was afraid this would transfer to my pillow and leave a really uneven result, but it turned out great! It’s good because it makes using this product so easy! I’m amazed at how consistent and natural the result is.
Obviously, it can be better, but I’m sure I will learn more as I use it. My chin tends to get a bit of acne, but so far it hasn’t made me break out at all. The product claims to be moisturizing and that it’s non-comedogenic.

Very good BUS! The instructions say it should be on for an hour (or three hours for best results). I only kept it on for 45 minutes and it still looks good!
I have used both Emerald and Sapphire. Both look really natural and good even on pale skin. This time I used Sapphire on just one leg and then Emerald everywhere else. I can't see such a big difference between the legs.
The result is a bit uneven, but that might be more my fault – I don't have that much training. #lykoreview
I've tried MANY self-tanning products but always come back to this one!!
+ Dark, deep, and warm color!
+ Smells better than other self-tanners.
+ Easy to apply.
+ Dark color guard which makes for even application.
+ Stays on despite showering.
+ Easy to scrub off.
- Quite expensive.
- Transfers onto sheets and clothes before you’ve showered it off (but disappears in the wash!!).
- Can get a bit green in the bottle after a while.
- The bottle can sometimes leak at the pump.
- Gets quite patchy/cracked when it "disappears" (recommend Bondi Sands exfoliating mitt to get rid of old self-tanner!!)
Overall not a full score, but it’s still the best self-tanner I’ve tried. Tips are welcome for another self-tanner that is really dark and maybe disappears "nicer"?
