Hi Anna 👋
Good questions 🙌 It’s great to see that you want guidance on the application/order of products in the skincare jungle 🌴
1. Yes, you can use both serums in your nighttime routine. Here’s the recommended order:
-Cleanser, Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum: Apply this serum first. The Inkey List Tranexamic Acid Serum: After the first serum has absorbed (wait about 1-2 minutes), apply a thin layer of this serum. According to the product instructions, it should be used as the last step in your nighttime routine, replacing your moisturizer.
‼️Note: While the product is designed to replace your moisturizer, if you find your skin feels dry, you might consider applying a lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizer on top.
2. The Inkey List Tranexamic Acid Serum with The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin - Yes, these two products can be used together as they target hyperpigmentation through different mechanisms and are generally well-tolerated. Here’s how to incorporate them:
💧Cleanse, The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin Serum: Apply this serum first. Wait-Allow it to absorb for about 1-2 minutes. The Inkey List Tranexamic Acid Serum: Apply a thin layer as the next step.
‼️Note: If you experience any irritation, consider using them on alternate nights.
🙌 Tips: Always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 during the day, especially when using products targeting hyperpigmentation. Sun exposure can exacerbate melasma and PIH.
Patch Testing: Before introducing new products, perform a patch test to ensure compatibility with your skin.
Have a nice day ahead and good luck with your skincare routine!🥰
