Extremely hard brush. Feels almost like a steel brush on the scalp. Have a similar one in pink, it is soft and nice.

  It's probably because this purple one has stiffer bristles and is more suited for curly and/or thicker hair. The pink one, i.e. millennial pink, has softer bristles, so it is gentler on the scalp and also on thin, sensitive strands.
