Very gentle on the hair, I would say it is pigmented but what sticks to the hands and nails is easy to remove. I have highlights in my hair and let it sit for 15 minutes, have done this about 2 times so far (once a week) and the result was so good. Even my lightest highlights got a cool tone without leaning towards purple. Even though I let it sit for 15 minutes, the hair still feels just as soft after the shower. It became a bit drier and tangled, which made it difficult to brush out the hair but nothing that changed the hair quality! Use a conditioner and/or hair mask afterwards.
