Absolutely the worst product I've tried. I developed very severe rashes and then perioral dermatitis. It felt like my face was going to burn up, and I've been trying to restore my skin since I tried it in November until now. Really unfortunate since it seems to have worked so well for others 🥹

It really sounds like your skin reacted strongly, and I understand the disappointment since, as you say, it seems to work for others. Although azelaic acid is often recommended for sensitive, redness-prone, or acne-prone skin, skin can react very differently to active ingredients, especially if the skin barrier is already weakened or if the product is introduced alongside other active ingredients.
Perioral dermatitis can have many different triggers, and it’s good that you have stopped using it. I hope your skin has calmed down now.
