Hi, I haven't dyed my hair. I have light brown hair with a slight reddish tint. I use the Wells hair mask in espresso and love the cool dark tone it gives, but I want it to last longer in the hair without being permanent! If you want a result similar to Espresso but with longer durability, I would instead look at an intensive toner.
