This is a leave-in conditioner and should not be rinsed out.
Wash your hair as usual (you can use a regular conditioner that is rinsed out in the shower first, especially if you have dry or thick hair). Towel dry your hair and apply evenly to the lengths.
For most, it is a supplement to regular conditioner for extra moisture and shine. If you have very fine or slightly oily hair, you can sometimes skip the rinse-out conditioner and just use the leave-in after shampooing. At the same time, very dry or damaged hair should stick to both steps – and preferably add a hair mask once a week.
