Smells like cigarette butts
This is the first time I'm using hair dye from this brand, and I chose it because I'm fragrance-sensitive and the color is supposed to be fragrance-free. What I didn't count on was that instead of a fragrance, it would smell so uncomfortably strong of something that reminds me of cigarette butts or ash that I could only stand it for 5 minutes! Ironically, the color also reminded me of ash. Despite only 5 minutes, I did manage to remove some of the yellow in my hair, but my gray roots didn't get addressed at all, so I still need to do something about that. What you experienced with the scent is unfortunately something that can occur in fragrance-free colors and tones. Instead of fragrance, the raw materials themselves, often alkalizing substances, can give off quite a strong scent 🙈 If you want to try something that is milder in scent, I would highly recommend Montibello Denuee. Hi! Does this cover gray hair? I usually use Igora vibrance 9.0 and it covers about 70%, is it the same with this one or does it cover even less? However, there are shades with extra gray hair coverage of up to 70%, these have undertone -00 (for example, 7-00 Medium Blonde extra). Too dark?
Hi! Some time ago, I was recommended this by you via the hair color test as I was looking for an allergy-friendly and fragrance-free hair dye. I usually use Schwarzcopf Igora Vibrance "Very light blonde 9.0", but was recommended a darker shade of this: "light blonde" to cover gray hair strands. My question is, since it says in the info text that one should choose a lighter shade because it can appear darker... Won't it then be very dark on me if I choose a darker shade than I usually have?! And do you have any tips for another shade and color that won't be too dark, similar to the one I use from Igora?! Then I reacted to the info that this color contains higher hydrogen - how good/bad is that in allergy contexts? It sounds like the color is quite strong?! The comment was made 9 monthsHey Emily 👋🏼 The darker perception of the shades mainly applies to the cool shades. If you don't want to risk feeling too dark, you can start by testing a 9! Generally, to achieve a good gray hair coverage, you need to use an 8, but it's individual 🎨 The tones from Montibello contain a lower hydrogen than Igora, but both are classified as a tone and not a permanent color. Not Moisturizing
Very disappointed as I read good things about this and it promised everything I needed for my skin, checked all the boxes, but in practice it was a total flop. The worst moisturizing ever! It just sat like a film on my face and slowly dried out my skin so I had to slather on extra with another cream afterward. Those shades have been discontinued in the powder, and now Aspen 04 is called "Fair 10 Neutral" as I understand it. In the liquid foundation, Aspen 04 is unchanged. It’s true that this one above has been discontinued, and at the moment I can’t see that a newer version has come out, but we’ll have to keep our fingers crossed for that. 🤭 If you’re worried about shelf life, the best before date is linked to the opening of the packaging, not the actual production, for this type of product 🤩 Take care!
