The hole where you put the sticks in is really big. Just one stick inserted makes it smell so extremely much that you get a headache. This comes with eight sticks and lacks a reduction insert/rubber stopper – the scent is primarily controlled by how many sticks are used. For a milder scent, you can try using one stick or none at all. Moving the diffuser to a larger room with more airflow can also help.
