It contains 0.03% retinaldehyde, which is a mild starting strength that allows the skin to adjust to retinoids without it being too strong at once. I would always recommend starting cautiously, for example 2-3 evenings a week, and then increasing if the skin tolerates it. Since retinal can make the skin more sensitive, it’s also important to use a mild moisturizer as needed and always sunscreen during the day.
