    Finest red color!

I had the honor of testing these layers as #LYKOINFLUTESTER from #LOVENLAYER My first impression of the packaging for this one was that the color looked just like on the website, if not even better! The perfect wine red/burgundy color. When I opened the packaging to apply, I found the layers quite plastic-like, but after application, I experienced a very glossy and natural result. I have tested nail polish stickers before, but none that you can harden or that can be shaped to your own nail in that way. I used the brand's instructional video for the first layers I tested, and unfortunately, I didn’t think that application worked really well. Mainly because it was hard to file the edges unless you cut to the shape beforehand, so it ended up being quite a poor application at the nail tips. However, that was something I tried when I applied the other layers I received to test. I then experienced that they lifted and pieces on the top/edges flaked off. I like how quickly it goes to apply layers and how you get a more even surface compared to nail polish. Very nice glossy finish and received many compliments at work, but especially for this color! The downside of the product is that I found the edges quickly became worn if you used your nails to open things, etc. I also found that the application requires a bit of practice and that it’s probably what affects the durability of the result. I usually use press-on nails and prefer them as they give more length and I find them more durable, but now for the summer, I will test layers for toenails as I have a very uneven surface on my toenails and I really liked the look of this product!

    Smooth and cute LED lamp

Received a bunch of products to test as #LYKOINFLUTESTER from #LOVENLAYER One of them was this portable cordless UV lamp. Very cute lamp that was smaller than I thought. Reminds me of an Apple mouse which is a bit funny. I used this together with my two different layers I received to test. Unfortunately, I can't say if the lamp is good or not as I didn't experience such strong curing of my layers, especially after the first round. But after the second test and after I changed my application a bit where I trimmed the edges and filed after curing, I noticed a difference, so I would still say that the product does its job! I did two rounds though because I felt that the curing got better. Big plus that it is small and handy but also a downside as I had to do the thumbnails on both hands separately since I couldn't fit both hands in so all nails were covered by the light. I do find the battery life to be good as I haven't needed to charge it since I used it the first time which was about 3 weeks ago. For the price, I would probably have bought a slightly larger UV lamp just to be able to do all nails at once.

    A more luxurious nail file

I had the honor of testing these nail files as #LYKOINFLUTESTER from #LOVENLAYER My first impression of the product when I took it out of the package was that it had a nice weight and looked very luxurious. I haven't used glass nail files before, so it was a very unusual feeling, but I thought it would be more uncomfortable than it actually was. I found it to be very gentle and it didn't file away too much. Because of this, I didn't feel it was very suitable for the use of layers as it took a while to file the edges. The advantage of the glass file is that it didn't get dusty inside and didn't ruin the finish of the layer. I also experienced that you quickly consumed the optimal filing strength of the file after 2 rounds of applying layers. It became a little less effective after filing all the nails and layers for two applications. Overall, it's a good nail file, I don't have much to compare it to since it's the first glass nail file I'm testing. Is it something I would buy again? Probably not

    Very nice finish!

I had the honor of testing these layers as #LYKOINFLUTESTER from #LOVENLAYER My first impression of the packaging for this one was that the color seemed quite dull on the sticker on the packaging. But as soon as I opened it and started working on my nails, I loved the design! Simple and yet with a cooler twist on a French manicure. I have tested nail polish stickers before, but none that harden or can be shaped to fit your nails in that way. I used the brand's instructional video for the first layers I tested, and unfortunately, I didn't think that application worked very well. Mainly because it was difficult to file the edges if you don't cut to the shape first, then the application at the nail tips became quite poor. But since this was the second layers I tested, I cut the shape more and cured under the UV lamp before filing the edges and experienced a much better result. I like how quickly it goes to apply the layers as well as how you get a more even surface compared to nail polish. Very nice glossy finish and received many compliments at work. The downside of the product is that I found the edges quickly became worn if you used your nails to open things, etc. I also found that the application requires a bit of practice and that it’s probably what affects the durability of the result. Great volume and separation!

As a Lyko influencer, I was really excited to test this mascara! I prefer mascaras that give volume and separate the lashes while holding them up, so I was really pumped for this one. I have quite a few lashes that tend to get weighed down at the outer edge, and the rest of my lashes also stay naturally straight. So the expectations were high for this product. My first impression of the product was that the brush looked really nice, I love slightly curved brushes, especially in rubber material. As others have mentioned, you need to apply a few layers of this to achieve volume. I usually only swipe the mascara brush 1-2 times in the same stroke with other mascaras because I find that most mascaras clump at the edges of the lashes and disrupt separation. So I was very positively surprised at how easy this was to work with and that I could apply multiple layers without the separation being disrupted or any noticeable larger clumps! I really like the volume in this, but unfortunately, I don't experience any significant lift or curl effect even when I use an eyelash curler. I also find that my outer lashes at the outer corner go downwards. The rest stay in place, but the outer ones have several “rows” of lashes, so they might be a bit too heavy for the mascara, and it’s not sticky enough for them to hold together. I love how light it still feels on the eye, so maybe it’s just my outer lashes that are only held up by stickier mascaras. Another plus with this is that it doesn’t flake or clump. Stays nice throughout the day! Comparing this to my favorite mascara Maybelline Sky High Waterproof, this unfortunately doesn’t hold the curl of the lashes as well, but this is so much easier to wash off, and I also find that this feels lighter on the lashes and dries faster. My lashes in the pictures for this review are not curled before or after application. In summary, this is probably in place 2 of my favorite mascaras. Mainly for the volume, that it is so buildable and easy to wash off. #lykoinflutester #makeupstore #lykoreview

    Nice everyday mascara!

I was so happy when I got this to test as one of Lyko's influtesters! I use mascara every time I do my makeup, and therefore it’s a product I value very highly in my makeup routine. I love to highlight my eyes with eyeshadow/kajal, and the right mascara for me is important to achieve the result I want, which is well-separated lashes with a lift and volume to my lashes. I was so curious that I ripped open the packaging right away and didn’t focus much on the packaging other than that it looked nice and was easy to keep clean and easy to keep track of in my makeup bag. My first slightly negative impression was the brush, which looked a bit clumpy, and generally I prefer slightly narrower and longer rubber brushes. Fortunately, I didn’t experience that as a problem when I applied the mascara! It was super easy to apply, and the lashes were separated really nicely, and there were no clumps. In the pictures for this review, I haven’t curled my lashes beforehand. The times I have used this, I haven’t experienced it smudging on my eyelid/eyebrow bone, which many mascaras tend to do since my lashes touch due to relatively long lashes in relation to the distance to my brow bone. When I have curled my lashes beforehand, I find that the lashes tend to go back to a slightly straighter shape when I use mascaras that are not waterproof. Unfortunately, this one does that too. Nothing that stands out, and I still think it looks nice all day. Since it’s not marketed to lift the lashes, I don’t think that detracts from the rating. I think this mascara looks really nice on my lashes, but I don’t experience any greater volume than it’s marketed as. I experience greater volume in the other mascara from Make up store that I got to test: expert curl mascara. See the second picture for comparison between the two. The last picture is of my uncurled lashes without mascara. So in summary, this is a really nice mascara that defines my lashes and separates really well without clumps and holds without flaking, and I also want to add that it’s super easy to clean. Since it didn’t give any wow volume, this will be an everyday mascara I will use when I want a slightly more natural makeup.

    Perfect between salon visits!

I recently went from bleached/striped hair to a red copper color for the first time at my wonderful hairdresser, but unfortunately, the vibrant red copper color didn't last that long. So before a follow-up visit, I thought I’d try these color bombs to liven up the red and will continue with it for wooow!! I have now been going to the hairdresser for about 3 years, previously I have dyed/bleached my hair myself at home with mostly good results, so messing with hair and colors is not new for me but definitely unfamiliar since I go to the salon instead. It was very easy to use and I think mixing the colors was simple! My goal with this color bomb was to achieve a result as close as possible to what I got when it was freshly dyed! I still think I did well! It became the type of shade I wanted and I feel good in it! First picture: the result right after the salon visit. Second picture: after about 2 weeks but roughly the exact same shade as just before using the color bomb. Last picture: my result with my color mix of Bright copper, Autumn Red, and white mix! My mix consisted mostly of bright copper, almost the same amount of white mix but a little less, and just a tiny bit of autumn red, maybe about 2 teaspoons. I started counting the number of pumps first but then went by the shade in my bowl and it turned out great! The hair also became very soft and shiny, and I will definitely continue to use this! I can really recommend the combination of these three shades as it turned into a very nice coppery red color!

    Exfoliating?

On a mission as #LYKOINFLUTESTER for the newly launched brand here #SUNDAE I had the honor of testing this scent Green tea and Juicy Pear from the same brand, feel free to check out that review too! I was extremely excited when I saw that I would get to test two products from this brand, mainly for the concept but also because it is marketed to suit dry and sensitive skin, which I have. Since exfoliation isn't really something I usually use, it was fun to also get to try such a variant! My first impression was that the packaging was larger than I expected and so fun, they really look like a spray cream! I have had the chance to test this product for about 1 week now. The first impression of the product upon use was that its consistency reminded me a lot of cream that melted a bit, alternatively cream mixed with shaving foam, and it was exactly the same as Juicy Pear except for the scent. It was very smooth and soft, and you could get far with a little product, I did use more though because I thought it was so fun to spray it out! When you rinse off the product, it doesn't feel like you've soaped your body in, which differs from so many other shower gels I've tried before, this also applies to Juicy Pear. I don't really know what I think about that, it's both positive not to get a "sticky and greasy" film feeling, but unfortunately, the "just showered" and fresh feeling disappears since it feels like the product doesn't really do anything after you've rinsed it off. However, the fairly mild scent makes you still feel relatively fresh afterward. However, I don't feel that the fresh feeling lasts as long as, for example, a regular shower gel from Nivea, Dove, etc., when you've dried off. This product is supposed to exfoliate the skin, and unfortunately, that's not something I've really noticed, possibly it feels a bit drier on the skin than Juicy Pear when you've dried off. You still felt soft and smooth, but Juicy Pear appealed to me more both in scent and feeling afterward. The scent was nothing that stood out in this product just like Juicy Pear, it was quite subtle which is perfect if you're going to use perfume, this scent was maybe nothing special for me, also unsure how green tea should smell, it doesn't smell like the green tea we have at work, but I can definitely sense similarities, it was still fresh! In summary, Green tea from Sundae is the lesser of the two products I got to test due to the scent and that I didn't really feel it exfoliated, but if you have oily skin, I can imagine that it would be perfect! For me, this product was neither something I hate nor love, I will continue to use it until it runs out and see if I change my mind.

    Fun concept!

On a mission as #LYKOINFLUTESTER for the newly launched brand here #SUNDAE I had the honor of testing this scent Juicy Pear and Green tea from the same brand, be sure to check out that review too! I was extremely excited when I saw that I would get to test this product, mainly for the concept but also because it is marketed to suit dry and sensitive skin, which I have. My first impression was that the packaging was larger than I expected and so fun, they really look like a spray whipped cream can! Same spray mechanism that was a bit hard to get going the first time since you had to press quite hard! This particular scent I was most looking forward to testing as it sounded like a very fresh and fruity scent, and this bottle was the prettiest of the two I received, maybe because light green is my favorite color. I have had the chance to test this product for about 1 week now. The first impression of the product upon use was that its consistency reminded me a lot of cream that melted a bit, alternatively cream mixed with shaving foam. It was very smooth and soft, and you could get far with a little product, I did use more though because I thought it was so fun that it looks like cream. However, the fairly mild scent makes you still feel relatively fresh afterward. However, I don't feel that the fresh feeling lasts as long as, for example, a regular shower gel from Nivea, Dove, etc., when you've dried off. On the other hand, you do notice that "moisturizing" property when you've dried off. I, who have a large tattoo on my arm that can look a bit crispy when the skin is a bit dry, immediately noticed that my skin was much softer, which is a big plus for me as I don't like to slather on too rich creams right after a shower as it feels uncomfortable. The scent was nothing that stood out in this product, it was quite subtle which is perfect if you are going to use perfume, this particular scent was very fresh, and I would say that the description of the scent is accurate. A slightly warmer fresh scent! In summary, this product is perfect for those who don't like rich products and get an uncomfortable feeling from a kind of "film" on the skin after use. Additionally, it is perfect if you don't like strong scents. For me, this product was neither something I hate nor love, I will continue to use it until it runs out and see if I change my mind. The most positive thing for me was that my skin was very soft afterward, and that is something I miss with regular shower gels. But then I want to praise the cream concept as it makes showering much more fun!
