It contains panthenol and madecassoside, which have soothing and moisturizing effects, and can be used in the morning before sunscreen. The emulsion is better if you want a lighter feel or want to layer several products on top.

Royal Facial Oil Moist is formulated to provide moisture and balance for normal to dry skin, and has a lighter consistency that quickly absorbs into the skin. It works well if you want a hydrated feeling without becoming shiny or greasy. Royal Facial Oil GLA is a bit richer and more targeted towards dry, sensitive, or mature skin. It provides a bit more nourishment and support to the skin's barrier, which can be great for very dry skin – but it may feel a bit heavier than Moist.
