Retinol every night, yay or nay?
Hi! I'm looking for a night cream for my combination and hyperpigmented 36-year-old skin. I tried BOJ Dynasty Creme but it doesn't seem to absorb into my skin at all, instead it sits like a film on top and leaves my skin shiny in the morning. Not pleasant at all. My question is, can/should you use retinol every night in your night cream? And, what is the difference between "regular" retinol and fermented retinol? <3 Lilly1 product in post Retinol every night, yay or nay?182 views- The user's roll: Skin therapist at Lyko. The comment was made 1 dayHi Lilly 😊 Retinol is important to introduce gradually. In the beginning, it is recommended to use retinol a few times a week and then gradually increase as the skin gets used to it. When tolerance is good, it can be used every evening, but it is not a must to see effects. Retinol does not need to be part of the actual night cream but can also be used in a serum applied before your cream. Regarding the difference between “regular” retinol and fermented retinol, it mainly comes down to the formulation. Classic retinol is very effective but can be perceived as more active and sometimes irritating. Fermented retinol is usually developed to be milder and gentler on the skin, which can make it easier to tolerate but sometimes with a slightly slower result. Based on your skin type, which is combination and reacts to heavier creams, it might be a good idea to choose a lighter retinol product and combine it with a night cream that absorbs better, instead of a richer cream that can feel like a layer on the skin. This together with home-dyed hair?
I had this when I dyed my hair from black to dark brown at the salon, but since I became a student and prices have gone up, I now dye it myself at home. My question is, will it affect the effect of this conditioner? Will it clash with the ingredients in the home dye and the conditioner?1 product in post This together with home-dyed hair?15 views- The user's roll: Lyko Creator. The comment was made 1 monthHey Lisa! 👋🏼😊 This Davines Alchemic Conditioner, Chocolat works really well with home-dyed hair. It’s a color-preserving conditioner with pigments that enhance and add shine to brown tones, so it won’t clash with your home color – quite the opposite! 🤎 So even if you dye at home, this conditioner will complement your color nicely and keep it deep and beautiful longer ✨ Have a nice day 🤠
