    Toner

Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble finding a toner that I can use in the same routine as this one since I understand that you should avoid active acids in the same routine as retinol/retinal. All the toners I have at home contain either AHA, BHA, or PHA, as well as all the toners I've looked at/been interested in trying. Do you have any good tips on which toner might be suitable? The same goes for serums since I assume that most of the products I have contain some form of exfoliating acids. I have normal/combination skin - maybe a bit more on the oily side. Not sensitive skin. Main goal is to minimize pores and even out skin tone, as well as minimize "fine lines" under the eyes and dark circles.

Hey Lise M Vangen😊 Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Brightening Toner is mild and hydrating, but it contains lightly exfoliating acids (AHA/LHA). To minimize irritation, it's best not to use the toner on the same evening as retinol, but instead on different days. Try it out with a patch test and see how your skin feels. Don't forget sunscreen during the day🌞 Hope the answer can be helpful and that you have a lovely day💫

    Use only this?

Can you use another product over this? I'm thinking since it's exfoliating, it might be appropriate to use a lip mask/lip balm over it for additional moisture?

Hey Lise ⭐ Yes, you can definitely use a product over this – it’s actually recommended 💧 After the PHA 5% Exfoliating Lip Serum has absorbed well (give it a couple of minutes), you can apply a moisturizing lip mask or balm to seal in moisture and protect the lips 💕 Think of the serum as the "skincare step" for the lips – and the mask/balm as the "moisture seal" 🧴 Have a lovely day ahead!

Hi Lise 💕 Yes! The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% is safe to use both during pregnancy and breastfeeding. 🌿 Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) is a skincare ingredient that helps balance oil production, reduce redness, and strengthen the skin barrier – perfect for skin that may be more sensitive during pregnancy. Zinc also has soothing properties but is minimally absorbed in the skin, so it poses no risk. If you are unsure or have specific skin concerns, it’s always a good idea to consult with a doctor or midwife. 😊 Wishing you a great day!

Hey Lise 👋 COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid contains Betaine Salicylate, which is a form of BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid). Although it is considered milder than traditional salicylic acid, it is generally recommended that pregnant and breastfeeding individuals avoid BHA products or use them in very low concentrations. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is wise to consult with a doctor or midwife before use to be on the safe side. A safer alternative could be PHA (Polyhydroxy Acid) or gentle enzyme-based exfoliants. 😊 Wishing you a nice day!
