When product residue and excess oils have been removed, the hair can feel a bit rough, a sign that it’s clean. Never tried this, so was excited, but it was quite hard on the skin. They usually tend to be a bit creamier, I think, but maybe it was just hard because it's cold outside and it has been transported.
