If you have oily hair or tend to produce a lot of sebum, a sulfate-free shampoo may leave some oil behind, which can make your hair feel greasy faster.
If you recently switched from a traditional shampoo to a sulfate-free one, your scalp may need time to adjust. Sulfates tend to remove more oil, which can lead to the scalp producing more oil as compensation. When you switch to a milder shampoo, it can take a few weeks for the production to balance out.
