Do you have to use heat?

Hi, do you have to heat treat the hair after applying the product to benefit from this anti-frizz product?

Hi Frida 👋 No, you don’t have to heat style your hair to get the effect of Amika Frizz-Me-Not Hydrating Anti-Frizz Treatment, but you usually get the best and longest-lasting result if you activate the product with heat 👍😍 If you apply it to damp hair and let your hair air dry, you can still get some anti-frizz effect and more hydration. However, the smoothing effect is usually much more noticeable if you blow-dry your hair after application 🤍 ✅ Air-dried hair: Provides some frizz control and hydration. ✅ Blow-dried hair: Provides more smoothing effect and better protection against humidity. ✅ Blow-dry + heat tools: Maximum anti-frizz result. Take care!

Can this product work on untreated hair?

Yes, as the title says, I'm wondering if it would work on my completely untreated hair. I haven't dyed or bleached the hair I have now (dyed and bleached before, but after the pandemic, I've let my hair grow out) and I'm not looking for any drastic change. But now around autumn, it would be interesting to cautiously highlight the warmer tones in my hair 🙂🍁

Hey Frida 😊👋 Color treatments generally adhere best to colored/bleached hair, so I can't guarantee how well this will work for you. But if you have slightly porous or sun-bleached hair, color treatments usually stick anyway. Feel free to try it on a small strand first to see how the shade turns out in your hair 🥰 All the best!
