Retinal makes the skin thinner and more sensitive, and IPL is a heat and light treatment that also stresses the skin. Together, they can increase the risk of irritation, pigmentation, burns, or slow recovery ✨ Here are some tips to follow: Before IPL: Pause the use of retinal for at least 5–7 days (7–10 days for sensitive skin). Also avoid other active ingredients like acids and strong vitamin C. After IPL: Wait until the skin is completely restored (no redness, tightness, or heat), usually 7–10 days, before starting with Retinal again. Start cautiously with lower strength or fewer nights a week. Sun protection: SPF 30–50 every day is extra important both during the IPL course and when using Retinal. Rule of thumb: Always pause Retinal during an ongoing IPL course, and only reintroduce it when the skin is stable. Take care! 🤍1 likes
