Maybelline, L'Oréal, CeraVe, and many other brands conduct animal testing on their products. Chinese legislation requires all foreign sellers bringing their products there to conduct animal testing. These companies either do it themselves or outsource it to another party. So when I buy a product, I am supporting the animal testing that the company does to sell in China. This is just freaking frustrating, and that’s exactly what they aim for... but don’t say that companies like Maybelline and L'Oréal care about animal rights or animal testing. That’s what NYX, Garnier, Lumene, Ordinary, and many others are for, who actually care!
