Did not meet all expectations, but quite nice!
I received this #lorealparis Paradise Lumi Glotion Highlighter in the shade 903 Medium Glow to test as part of #lykoinflutester product testing. I think the product is quite okay, nice. The medium shade of the product is too dark for my winter skin, but with self-tanner, the product blends better with my skin. The consistency is quite okay, it could feel a bit more moisturizing as I have dry skin. However, I have also used the product by mixing it with my day cream, which has made me like the product a bit more, as it has moisturized and evened out my face tone better, and I haven't had to use so much other makeup to even out my skin tone. The biggest downside for me is that the product is a highlighter, but I find myself missing a bit more glow from the product. I use similar products daily in my makeup, and I am used to products that give a lot of glow, so this one doesn't quite meet my expectations. However, I will definitely use the product up and would gladly test a lighter shade later if it works better for my tone. I tested this #NYXPROFESSIONALMAKEUP Plump Right Back Primer + Serum as part of the #lykoinflutester product testing. I usually don’t use primers in my makeup because my skin is so dry that primers are often too drying, and it feels too heavy to use them over all the skincare underneath the makeup. In this product, I was positively surprised by the product's lightness and moisturizing feel. However, I want to mention that as someone with very dry skin - especially now in winter, there still need to be good moisturizing skincare products underneath this product. I like that the product doesn’t have any strong scent and that it feels very unobtrusive on the skin. I can’t yet say if the product has really helped with the makeup's longevity, but I also have nothing bad to say about the product! The product itself spreads beautifully on the skin, and the makeup also applies well on top of it. Good basic mascara
I received this #maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascara in black for testing as part of #lykoinflutester product testing. This mascara was a pleasant surprise in the test package, as I have used the product before, and I have been pleased with the natural result it creates! The mascara shade is deep black, which adds the right amount of drama, as the bristles and the mascara's consistency create a more natural result for me. I use the mascara regularly in my daily routine, as the result is suitable for work. The mascara does not smudge on the eyelids or cheeks throughout the day, nor does it flake off when dry. However, I have not found my ride or die mascara yet, as I desire more volume and visibility for my lashes, which cannot be achieved by layering this mascara. I can, however, recommend the product if you are looking for a lightweight mascara that is truly black and gives beautiful length to the lashes. The only downside I can find with the product is very common in all mascaras, which is that during the first few uses, the product is very liquid, which can lead to too much on the lashes, making it harder to separate them. But as I said, this "problem" is very common in mascaras in general, and not just a feature of this mascara. The product holds up well, and the issue resolves after a while. Good basic brush
I tested this #makeupstore Domed Powder Brush #06 as part of #lykoinflutester product testing. The brush works well for applying powder products, e.g. blush, bronzer, face powder, depending on the desired result. The bristles feel soft, and since they are not super tightly packed, the product can be applied to the face in a natural way. There is not much risk of the brush picking up too much product. However, you can layer products well with the brush, but the result always feels more natural than with a brush that is more tightly packed. Excellent brush for the collection!
I got this #makeupstore Tapered Highlighter Brush #04- brush to test as part of #lykoinflutester product testing. The brush works really well for applying highlighter products, but it also works with other powder products, e.g. if you want to focus face powder or blush on a smaller area of the face. The bristles feel soft, and since the bristles are not super tightly packed, the product can be applied to the face in a natural way. Lovely highlighter for everyday use✨
I received this #makeupstore Iconic Radiance Highlighter 20 Champagne Luster for testing as part of #lykoinflutester product testing. The shade of the product is a beautiful champagne shimmer, and it works when my skin is at its lightest, and when I have used self-tanner, for example. I think I have liked the shade of the product more when I have just used self-tanner. The highlighter has a light sheen, not at all glittery or too bright, so it creates a natural finish. The product can be layered well, but I think it looks prettier when applied lightly, creating a glow from within type of, slightly “liquid” glow, especially when I have used, for example, setting spray. The product applies well with a brush, especially with Make Up Store's own highlighter brush. The shade of the product is really beautiful “old rose,” and the shade works when my skin is at its lightest, and when I have used self-tanner, for example. The product is not completely matte, so it creates a very natural, velvety finish. The product applies well with a brush. The product is not too pigmented, so application is effortless, but it is also easy to build up. The product feels more pigmented than the bronzer from the same line. The product is really a very good blush that can easily be used in everyday makeup, but also to create more festive makeup by layering. Really good basic bronzer!
I got this #makeupstore Iconic Glow Bronzer in shade 20 Terracotta to test as part of #lykoinflutester product testing. The shade of the product is perfect for me, as it works when my skin is at its lightest, and when I have used self-tanner. The shade is warmer, so it’s clearly a bronzer and not a contour product, but it’s not too warm or orange on light skin. The product is not completely matte, so it creates a very natural, velvety finish. The product applies well with a brush. It’s not too pigmented, so application is effortless, but it’s also easy to build up the product. Excellent product, especially if you’re not familiar with using powder products. The product is really a good basic bronzer that can easily be used in everyday makeup, but also to create a deeper makeup look! A bit unclear, totally okay
I received this #neccin No.3 Dandruff Protector Conditioner as part of #lykoinflutester - product testing. This product was perhaps a bit unclear for me. A totally okay product that I enjoyed using during the testing period, but for my blonde hair, the product just wasn't moisturizing or repairing enough. The product did feel somewhat moisturizing, but not enough. After the shower, when my hair was still wet, the lengths were difficult to detangle, and I can't sign off on the product's promised silkiness. However, the product is not the worst for blonde/colored hair, but it definitely requires excellent leave-in moisturizing products to give the hair the moisture it needs. Like the shampoo from the same line, the product has a pleasant scent that doesn't linger too strongly in the hair. Plus points for the product for its color-maintaining property and packaging. Moisturizing for the scalp, but not moisturizing enough for the lengths
I tested this #neccin No.1 Anti-Dandruff Shampoo as part of #lykoinflutester product testing. The product promises to soothe and balance the scalp. I don’t have issues with dandruff, but I suffer from very dry skin otherwise, so sometimes, especially in winter, my scalp can also feel drier than normal. During the product testing, it felt like this shampoo is a balancing and moisturizing product for the scalp for me as well, even though I don’t have dandruff. The shampoo lathers and spreads well, and it has a pleasant scent that doesn’t linger too strongly in the hair after washing. However, it leaves a nice scent that perhaps reminds a bit of a salon smell in the hair. So it’s very pleasant to use the product. It’s also easy to dispense from the bottle! A big plus for me regarding the product is that it has a color-preserving property, as my hair is colored. But I felt during the product testing that even though the product moisturizes the scalp, it’s not moisturizing or repairing enough for my hair (lengths). My hair is bleached, and it felt like the shampoo wasn’t ideal for the hair itself.
