Love trying new shampoos and conditioners, but that also means I'm very picky when it comes to hair washing. I have bleached hair, so I love conditioners that provide a lot of moisture! I really want to notice a difference after using a conditioner, and unfortunately, I didn’t with this one. It felt like an ordinary conditioner you can buy at a regular grocery store. I got to try this shampoo and conditioner and I am completely in love. I could smell the scent through the package, and it smells very much like coconut, which I love. The consistency is a bit like a body lotion, I would say, and not very thick, which made me skeptical as I was unsure if it would moisturize that well. But my hair becomes so soft and fragrant afterwards. I have black hair that easily gets a bit frizzy and dry, especially this time of year. But after using this for a few weeks, I find my hair more moisturized and less frizzy. The absolute best thing is that the scent stays in the hair after the shower! Wow wow wow, I just say. I received some of methods' products, and this was one of them. Their shower cream is incredibly creamy, lathers well, and has a strong scent. Additionally, they are very affordable, and I find them very moisturizing because you don’t feel dry or tight after showering. What lowers the rating for me is the scent of this one. It doesn’t quite suit me. I think it’s a bit too "floral" for my taste. But that’s really a matter of personal preference. After rinsing my hair with their shampoo, my hair feels quite rough. Unfortunately, the hair doesn't get much softer after this conditioner (neither in nor after the shower). My first impression when I just opened and smelled it was that it mostly smelled like soap, I didn’t clearly sense the scents, I definitely wouldn’t have guessed it would smell like pear and mandarin, even though nothing had leaked, I could smell it all the way home when I picked up the package. This smelled more like coconut than the shampoo, but nothing extreme. Not a very strong scent, but not one I'm drawn to. My hair type is very dry, quite damaged right now, and I have a mix of wavy/curly hair that I'm trying to learn to take care of. I received some products from Method to test, and the first one was this shampoo! My hair is colored (rainbow bangs and roots are also rainbow-colored while the rest is dyed black), so it’s important for me to use shampoo that works for that. Since I planned to dye my hair again at the beginning of November (because I wear wigs every day in October), I was worried this might wash out the color very quickly, but I read that it’s supposed to work for colored hair and I don’t think it has washed out the color more than my usual shampoo, so that’s a relief. I last dyed it at the end of July, so there’s some regrowth and several of the colors are a bit faded. My hair type is very dry, quite damaged right now, and I have a mix of wavy/curly hair that I’m trying to learn to take care of. I’m not a huge fan of the coconut scent; in small doses it’s okay, but I thought the scents blended very well and it didn’t have a very strong coconut smell! However, I felt my hair got greasy faster. I wash my hair about once a week, and on day 2 my hair looked about how it usually does around day 4. My hair could feel oilier while my scalp felt even drier, and the feeling was that it wasn’t completely clean. Unfortunately, this wasn’t for me but it probably works much better for someone else! Sometimes hair needs a little time to get used to new shampoo and stuff, I will use this up but otherwise I’ll go back to what I usually use.
