Rough on the skin
I was excited to get this because I've tried other products with rice and enjoyed them but this is very rough. It isn't a mask but a exfoliating scrub and reminded me of a slightly gentler version of St.Ives Apricot Scrub. Super light weight and moisturizing
I'm really impressed with this product, especially as it's so cheap. I've tried toners at a much higher price point that didn't work half as well. It goes on like water but my skin feels noticably softer and soothed. I'm often sensitive to products but this was completely non irritating. Perfect texture but awful color
To start with the positives: It blends in to the skin perfectly and doesn't look patchy on my fine lines and wrinkles. It is very moisturizing and really does feel like more of a skincare product than a cosmetic. Unfortunately the color is simply unwearable. I am very pale but this was so light that it looked more like Halloween makeup on and had grey undertones so that I looked sick. Perfect for thin and damaged hair
Hair type: extremely thin, fine,dry and brittle I have had a very hard time finding shampoos and conditioners that work on my hair because if they're moisturizing enough to help with the damage they weigh it down and make it look greasy. I had none of those issues with the Very Soft Duo. My hair was shiny and clean but also soft and much less frizzy than before. Before I had to wash my hair every other day or it looked very dirty but using this set it looks and feels good until the third day. I think I have finally found the perfect deep conditioner. This is very light weight and left no signs of residue on my extremely thin,fine, and heavily damaged hair yet still managed to make it very soft. It even brought out the waves. Does this run warm toned?
I have pale, cool toned skin and currently wear Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint in G11 ( their next to lightest shade). How close a match to that would this be? Is this gentle enough for sensitive eyes?
My eyes are very sensitive and will burn and turn red easily. If you want an eye cream with an active ingredient this cream could be perfect for you ✨ I would still recommend that you do a patch test on a small area to see if you get a reaction to the product before using it on the eye area. It is also important to work slowly when you introduce the product in your skincare routine. Start off by using the cream twice weekly and slowly increase the frequency to avoid the skin becoming sensitized 🤗 A great tip, especially when you start using a new cream, is to use a moisturizing eye cream without active ingredients underneath before before following up with your Bakuchiol-cream. 1 star for the eye cream 5 stars for the sunblock
The eye cream made my eyes burn and water immediately and even after washing it off they remained irritated for the rest of the evening. A few days later I tried using it as a face cream and avoiding the eye area but it made my face burn as well. I'm now trying to use it as hand cream so it doesn't completely go to waste. My experience with the sunblock was entirely different. It goes on easily and is non irritating. The finish is moisturizing and dewey so it works perfectly for my mature, sensitive skin. It even does double duty as a makeup primer because my foundation actually looks better applied over it. As it does give such a glowing finish if you have oily skin you might want to give it a pass though. Non irritating but also not effective
I waited until I had finished the tube in order to judge this eye cream and used it each night. I have extremely sensitive eyes and many products will irritate them however I had no issues with this one. Unfortunately I believe that is because the amount of retinol in it is to small to be effective as I noticed no changes at all. It is a very light cream that dries down fairly quickly without a tacky feeling. I personally would have preferred it to have a bit more moisture but I have unusually dry skin.
