The first time I used this, not much happened, barely any foam & hard to distribute, the biggest effect was that my hair felt like steel wool. So I asked here what I did wrong & then got the right instructions (this should really be clarified more) The 2nd time I used this myself & shampooed at least 3 times before I got the right consistency - really compact & a lot of foam. Enormous difference, you have to shampoo as many times as it takes to get it right - you can tell when it happens : )) sometimes I shampoo 4, 5 times when I have had some products in, I get like lactic acid in my neck when I’m doing it, but the point is that all the products you have in your hair need to come out, so just rub it in 💪 My hair feels totally crazy rough, but I guess that’s how it feels without silicones & all that stuff in it, combined with a pretty tough cleaning. I’ve had k18 in afterwards & I think that if you have really dry & "over-bleached" hair, you probably shouldn’t use this without some kind of real monster mask afterwards, or at least some kind of moisturizing &/or repairing conditioner. The hair becomes extremely receptive, so it’s perfect to have in a lot of useful stuff 👌 I have thin & very bleached hair that has gotten new life after this & the k18 treatment 🤖 both are, in my opinion, worth the hype! #lykoreview3 likes1489 viewsto leave a comment illern

Unfortunately not a good product at all, I've been using it for a while now with a few weeks in between. I feel like the product just damages the hair and it becomes very frizzy. I'm unfortunately not satisfied at all but really hoped I would be. + It doesn't smell good, there's a strong scent of chemicals…654 viewsAmanda
Customer service at Lyko1 weekHey Engla Thank you for taking the time to share your experience The detox shampoo is for deep cleaning the hair and removing product residue, but I understand that it can feel a bit intense, especially if the hair is drier or more fragile. A tip that can make a big difference is to complement with both a moisturizing hair mask and a conditioner after washing. Feel free to start with the hair mask to give the hair a proper dose of moisture and nourishment, and then finish with the conditioner to "lock in" all that lovely moisture and softness. This helps to balance the cleansing and makes the hair soft, manageable, and less frizzy. Hope this can help it work better Have a magical day!

2 weeksCombine with K18
Hi, I have been using hjärtligt's detox shampoo in combination with K18 for a longer period, but have now bought this one. It says that this basically has to be used with a mask and conditioner. Is it harmful to the hair in any way not to do that & use K18 instead?2306 viewsEvelina
Customer service at Lyko2 weeksHey Emelie It's not directly harmful, but the hair can become rough after a deep cleansing shampoo, so because of this, a mask and conditioner are recommended. On the occasions you use K18, you can of course skip the step with the mask and conditioner All the best!

Customer service at Lyko3 weeksHey Yes, this shampoo lathers, but if you use too much, it can be a bit hard to work up a lather, so start with a small amount and wash in several rounds instead All the best! ✨1 likes
