    Love it!

About my hair: 🤩 Long, thick, and wavy 🤩 Dyed + damaged 🤩 Dry and tangles easily I’ve tried various leave-ins before and never get the result I’m looking for. My hair needs extra moisture that doesn’t weigh it down, as well as something that can also soften it. After some scrolling, this popped up, and considering the price, I was a bit unsure at first, but I decided to give it a try anyway. According to the usage instructions, you should start with one pump for thin hair, two pumps for thicker hair. I would NOT recommend that. I take one pump (as shown in the picture) for my thick hair, and that’s more than enough. My sister tried it in her much thinner hair, and she needed just under 1/2 pump. But what do I think of the product then? It’s wonderful! I feel like I’m getting the moisture I need without it weighing down, and my hair feels a bit extra soft and manageable. I also don’t experience any residue in my hair afterward, which is a positive. I think the pump works well, but I would definitely recommend taking less than what the description says. The only negative is the price, a bit steep for 100ml. I give the product ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I used K18 when my hair was really damaged mm, so K18 helps. Then when my hair became healthy, I switched to Olaplex 5 and for me this helps. My hair is very curly and gets easily dry, needs a lot of moisture.

  • K18 vs olaplex no 5?

I have very dry, thick, and damaged hair after several rounds of both coloring and bleaching.. I was recommended K18's leave in, but is this better for me? They seem quite similar and both have good reviews 😊

Hi! 😊 Thanks for asking – and so great that you compare products before you choose! K18 Leave-In Molecular Repair Mask and Olaplex No. 5 Leave-In Conditioner are both great products, but they have completely different functions: 🔬 K18 is an intensive repairing treatment that works deep in the hair to rebuild damage from the inside – perfect for a lot of bleaching, coloring, and heat treatment. 💧 Olaplex No. 5 is a moisturizing leave-in conditioner that provides softness, shine, and frizz control – more like a daily care product, but not a treatment. 👉 The product from Olaplex that can be compared to K18 is actually Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector. It is a repairing pre-shampoo treatment that strengthens weakened bonds in the hair – and is meant to repair, not just care. In summary: – For deep repair after bleaching and damage: choose K18 or Olaplex No. 3 – For daily moisture and softness: choose Olaplex No. 5 Hope that makes it easier to choose! 💛 Feel free to reach out if you want to combine more or need help with your routine.

One of the better Olaplex products (but not perfect)

I am not an uncritical fan of Olaplex. They have released so many products and there are some hits and misses. This leave-in cream is actually one of the better products! It is a lightweight creamy gel that you can apply to damp or dry hair. It doesn’t absorb perfectly to dry hair in my experience, the hair will feel a little bit "gunky" (and I have the most dry and porous hair of all time!). It’s a good leave-in cream and the price is quite reasonable. Why only four stars then? Because I’ve tried Kerastase Blond Absolu Cica nuit night serum as well as L’Oreal Metal DX protection cream, so I know what a real 5/5 product is like. Those two you can comfortably reapply every single day and your hair will still feel fresh and clean. #lykoreview

  • Question?

When is this product best to use? Can you use it every day or only after you’ve showered? Can you use it on the days in between when you’re not washing your hair? Can you use both this and number 6 together? I have quite thick hair and pretty split ends.

Hey! 🤸‍♀️ You can definitely use this after your hair wash on towel-dried hair, but it can also be used between washes on dry hair in your ends! And yes, you can absolutely use this daily😍🤞 Both No 6 and this can be used together, separately, or with other styling products. No 6 helps control frizz, and this helps manage split ends! ❤

What is the difference between No. 05 & No. 06?

I have previously used Olaplex Bond Smoother No. 6. But I have also seen that there is an Olaplex No. 5 Leave-in, but I have never tried it. I wonder a bit what the difference between these two is and what their properties are or what you would say? I have pretty thick hair, dry and treated with bleaching etc…

Hey Alexandra and Jenny! 👋🏻 The difference between the products is that No.5 focuses on intensive care, repair, and moisture, while No.6 is more geared towards styling, frizz control, and long-lasting protection. Depending on one's needs, you can choose the one that fits best, or combine them to take advantage of their complementary properties 👏🏻🤩 Have a nice day ☀️

Hey Lena The difference between these is that no.6 is a thicker leave-in cream and no. 9 is a multifunctional serum that is thinner in formula Take care!

  • Proteins?

Hey, I wonder if this contains a lot of proteins? I have a hard time finding good products, I need an incredible amount of moisture, I haven't treated my hair and it often ends up being dull, stiff, and tangled. I use Olaplex n 3 as a treatment, but I have tried the Kerastase resistance mask, despite this I think repair products help more than moisture products. However, I have a hard time finding the right one. Olaplex no6 makes my hair stiff and tangled, while milkshakes incredible milk works well, hair oils make my hair flat and shaped. Please help me!

Hey Olaplex No. 5 contains some protein ingredients, but it is not a high-protein product. It can definitely be a nice alternative considering it has both moisturizing and repairing properties. If you feel that your hair seems stiff, it might help to reduce the amount of protein products or use such products less often, like every other week. You can try to see what works best for you and your hair. Good luck!
