    Love it!

About my hair: 🤩 Long, thick, and wavy 🤩 Dyed + damaged 🤩 Dry and tangles easily I’ve tried various leave-ins before and never get the result I’m looking for. My hair needs extra moisture that doesn’t weigh it down, as well as something that can also soften it. After some scrolling, this popped up, and considering the price, I was a bit unsure at first, but I decided to give it a try anyway. According to the usage instructions, you should start with one pump for thin hair, two pumps for thicker hair. I would NOT recommend that. I take one pump (as shown in the picture) for my thick hair, and that’s more than enough. My sister tried it in her much thinner hair, and she needed just under 1/2 pump. But what do I think of the product then? It’s wonderful! I feel like I’m getting the moisture I need without it weighing down, and my hair feels a bit extra soft and manageable. I also don’t experience any residue in my hair afterward, which is a positive. I think the pump works well, but I would definitely recommend taking less than what the description says. The only negative is the price, a bit steep for 100ml. I give the product ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

@Kristine - I've never tried it, but I've heard very good things about K18, but unfortunately I can't say if they are similar to each other 😅 But I can absolutely recommend you to try this one, I've had mine for a while now and love it just as much now as I did after the first use 😁

What is the difference between No. 05 & No. 06?

I have previously used Olaplex Bond Smoother No. 6. But I have also seen that there is an Olaplex No. 5 Leave-in, but I have never tried it. I wonder a bit what the difference between these two is and what their properties are or what you would say? I have pretty thick hair, dry and treated with bleaching etc…

Hey Alexandra and Jenny! 👋🏻 The difference between the products is that No.5 focuses on intensive care, repair, and moisture, while No.6 is more geared towards styling, frizz control, and long-lasting protection. Depending on one's needs, you can choose the one that fits best, or combine them to take advantage of their complementary properties 👏🏻🤩 Have a nice day ☀️

    Heat protection?

Is there heat protection in this product, and can it be used on dry hair?

This is how it stands in the description: A leave-in product that moisturizes, softens, repairs, and protects your hair, resulting in a healthier outcome after just one use. Instantly seals split ends and repairs hair from cortex to cuticle. Protects against future damage to improve hair integrity and give you beautiful, healthy hair. Full heat protection. Usage: Apply to clean, damp hair. Start with one pump for fine hair and two for thicker hair. Add more as needed. Can be combined with other styling for desired effect. Can be used on dry hair between washes to moisturize and seal the ends. But you mean that one should rinse it out?

Hey Lena The difference between these is that no.6 is a thicker leave-in cream and no. 9 is a multifunctional serum that is thinner in formula Take care!

  • Proteins?

Hey, I wonder if this contains a lot of proteins? I have a hard time finding good products, I need an incredible amount of moisture, I haven't treated my hair and it often ends up being dull, stiff, and tangled. I use Olaplex n 3 as a treatment, but I have tried the Kerastase resistance mask, despite this I think repair products help more than moisture products. However, I have a hard time finding the right one. Olaplex no6 makes my hair stiff and tangled, while milkshakes incredible milk works well, hair oils make my hair flat and shaped. Please help me!

Hey Olaplex No. 5 contains some protein ingredients, but it is not a high-protein product. It can definitely be a nice alternative considering it has both moisturizing and repairing properties. If you feel that your hair seems stiff, it might help to reduce the amount of protein products or use such products less often, like every other week. You can try to see what works best for you and your hair. Good luck!

    Balm and leave-in balm?

Hey! I bought Olaplex for the first time, tried number 3 and then shampooed with number 4, I bought number 5 but in the leave-in variant and wonder if I should also have the regular balm? It was hard to get the leave-in balm in because my hair was so rough after shampooing.

Hi I have used everything in the Olaplex series except this one, so I thought I would test it now 😊 But I would like to give you a tip since I think we have a bit of the same problem. I wash my hair 1-2 times a week, and that’s what hairdressers recommend too. So my routine is that I moisturize my hair with the spray that is supposed to repair the hair, and then after 10 minutes I apply number 8 for about 10 minutes, then I wash with shampoo and put oil on the ends, and that helps to draw water out of the hair. I use biosilk since Olaplex gave me a yellow color in blonde hair, this also helps if you heat treat your hair after washing. Then I use leave-in from K18 which saved my hair, and it’s like using a warm knife in butter when I comb my hair. Then I use number 6 because it helps to style the hair if you blow-dry after washing, and it keeps the hair longer, but also use a spray for heat treatment. But now my hair is finally completely healthy, so I thought I would use this instead of K18 to see if it works on my hair 😊 So I hope this might give you a little tip 😊 Now I might be a bit rude towards Lyko, but if you go to a Vita store, you can try everything from Olaplex, actually from all the products they sell, and it’s really nice because then you can test at home before you buy 😊 They have those small jars they put the product in. This has definitely helped me a lot! I’ve tested both makeup, CC creams, hair products, and also some of Cosrx’s products! I live in Lillestrøm and there are 4 Vita stores nearby, and all of them have given out samples 😊 So I hope you find what suits you best 😊 Best regards, Kristine

This product does what it’s supposed to!

I was skeptical about this, but I went for it anyway. It really does what I wanted. My hair becomes so soft. It’s completely bleached and so dry! But it worked miracles for my hair anyway. It’s economical, so 1-1/2 pumps for my hair that is a little below my shoulders. It has a scent, but not much or strong. 😊

Hi I use number 6 in my hair if I’m blow-drying after washing, it’s a leave-in styling product, so it makes the hair super nice and gives longer hold after blow-drying or other heat treatments. I know all the products from Olaplex well, so I hope this is a good tip. You can also use it on dry hair for light and healthy styling. Best, Kristine

    Good but not the best!

I have thick, wavy, and bleached hair that is very dry and frizzy, so I might need a slightly heavier product.. But it made my hair soft and easier to brush out! 😊 I put quite a bit in damp hair after I wash it and a little on the ends every evening before I put an oil over it. For hair that isn't extremely dry, I think it suits better 😇

    Olaplex 5

Is this supposed to be applied under Olaplex 6?

Chiara - The 5 is more fluid than the 6 and should therefore be much easier to work with and distribute in the hair.
