Clear difference – but no miracle cure
A serum that soothes the scalp without weighing the hair down. The gel-like consistency absorbs quickly, without leaving a greasy feel, and makes the hair feel light and fresh. I have a combination of an oily, yet simultaneously dry and itchy scalp, and thought this serum would be perfect for restoring balance. ☀️ My scalp doesn't "flake" as much anymore, and I find that it doesn't itch as quickly after I've washed my hair. However, it hasn't eliminated the itching, but I still notice that it gradually makes a difference. 🌧️ I have a love-hate relationship with the scent. Initially, it smells fresh and clean, but after a few days, it tends to smell more like "cleaning product" and quite strong, which I unfortunately do not appreciate. 💡 I prefer to apply the serum before I go to bed so that it has time to soak in properly; alternatively, I sometimes apply it before I blow-dry my hair – which has worked really well. I find it easiest to use the dropper to apply the serum to the scalp so that it doesn't just end up on the hair strands, and then massage the product in with my hands until it starts to dry. Overall, I am positive about the serum, but I wouldn't say it's a miracle cure that completely restores balance in the scalp. No difference
I have had recurring problems with an itchy scalp for many years. Therefore, I need to use specific shampoo that helps me in the long run, and when I saw that there is serum from such a good brand as Kerastase that is supposed to help balance the scalp, I got super excited to try it! The serum came in a really nice packaging and smells divine! But unfortunately, I experienced no other benefits... It says that you should use the serum once a day for 3 weeks, and today I finished the course, but unfortunately, I notice absolutely no difference. I first thought that I could skip my specific shampoo and see if just the serum would solve my itchy scalp, but after using it for two weeks straight and there was no change, I had to start using the shampoo again. The consistency is pleasant, and I have used exactly 3 doses every day (as it said on the packaging), but I felt that the 3 doses were not enough for the whole head (only the front then). I would have liked to use more, but then I am afraid it wouldn't have been sufficient. One plus, however, is that the hair does not get oily from it, regardless of whether you use it on towel-dried hair or on dry hair. My final answer is that if this serum existed just for the scent and didn't cost as much, I would want to buy it over and over again, but otherwise, it unfortunately won't be a purchase any time... I had the opportunity to test this serum on behalf of Smartson and got it completely free.267 views- The user's roll: Customer service at Lyko. The comment was made 3 weeksHi Christina! Healthier Scalp
Kérastase Spécifique Serum Potentialiste quickly became a favorite in my hair care routine. The serum feels cool and light when applied, and it doesn't weigh the hair down at all. After a few days of use, I noticed that my scalp felt significantly more balanced and less irritated. The scent is quite strong, which you either like or not, but I think it gives a clean and fresh feeling. It's a bit of a pricier product, but for me, it has been worth it since the results are both felt and seen – my scalp feels calmer and the roots get a slight lift. Overall, a really good serum if you want to give your scalp a little extra care. Kérastase Specifique Potentialiste
A serum that really wants a lot, and largely succeeds as well. The first thing I noticed was the scent – it is mild, fresh, and gives a bit of a "salon luxury" feel right from the application. The consistency is light and not oily, which means it doesn't weigh down the hair or leave any sticky feeling. However, it can be a bit tricky to get the product evenly distributed in the scalp; the pipette helps, but it still requires a bit of patience to reach everywhere. When it comes to results, I primarily experience an immediate freshness and a soothing feeling in the scalp. The cooling effect is subtle but nice, especially after a wash or color treatment. After some time of use, the scalp feels somewhat more balanced and less irritated, although the improvements are more gradual than dramatic. It is not a "miracle product", but it provides thoughtful support to the scalp through its prebiotic ingredients and antioxidants. Overall, Potentialiste feels like a good, modern scalp product – especially for those who want to prevent discomfort or just give their scalp a little extra care. For those who already use Kérastase in their routine, it blends in very naturally, but even on its own, it stands well as an easy-to-use and pleasant serum. A really nice product for the scalp.
I got to try this product through a Smartson tester. It is a lovely refreshing product that smells wonderful. I used it on freshly washed hair and it feels incredibly refreshing. My hair feels freshly washed longer and doesn't get as greasy at the scalp. A good product that does what it should. I used one and a half pumps for the entire scalp that I massaged in. Absorbs quickly and leaves no greasy residue. A very fresh product.31 views - The post was made 1 weekRating: 3 out of 5
Kérastase Specifiqué Serum Potentialiste
I have tried this serum from Kérastase a few times now, and I don't really know what I think about it. I have tested several serums from them that I have been super satisfied with, but this one doesn't do much for my scalp. I have a very dry, itchy scalp, and when I used this, it felt almost like it got worse. So I don't really think this lives up to what it promises and its price; there are several that are better for the high price! For a stable scalp - with unexpected volume on the side
I had the opportunity to test Kérastase Specifique Potentialiste via Smartson. Design: The bottle feels luxurious and well-made. The pipette looks professional, but the application becomes very clumsy. The recommendation of three pipettes per use feels excessive, especially on dry hair. About 1-2 pipettes are sufficient to cover the scalp. Quality: The serum has a light, fresh, and pleasant feel on the scalp, and I noticed no irritation or discomfort. The scent is really nice – discreet but exclusive – and it gives a freshly washed feeling without weighing the hair down. Effect: I feel that my scalp has become more balanced and less dry. The effect came gradually and was not immediately dramatic, but noticeable over time. An unexpected bonus was the volume – when I massaged the serum in properly, it gave the hair a lift that I didn't expect. Function: The product met my expectations overall. It does its job without feeling heavy or sticky. I would recommend it to others, especially to those who want a more harmonious scalp while keeping airy hair with volume. A Helping Hand for the Scalp
I almost always have a scalp that is oily, itchy, and dry at the same time. I've tried almost everything without effect. After the first applications, I felt like my hair became oily after just a few hours. But over time, I experience a more balanced scalp. It still itches and flakes a little, but not at all like before! A big bonus is that for the first time, I feel like I've started to get volume at the roots. I also feel like I've had more hair growth at the forehead. Unfortunately, I think the product is not very economical. So it will get expensive in the long run. Something I don't quite understand is that this is supposed to be a treatment, but after using it for 3 weeks and then stopping, the problems started creeping back. I've now used it about 1-2 times a week. The big downside, the smell! Very strong scent that lingers. Serum for Scalp Issues
I was excited to try the Potentialiste serum as I occasionally experience imbalance in my scalp. ✨Packaging: The bottle is nice and feels luxurious. The dropper makes it easy to pick up the right amount. 💆♀️Application: I preferred to drop the serum into my hands and then massage it into my scalp. It said that you could store it in the fridge, which I liked because it gave a cooling sensation upon application. It takes a little while for the serum to dry in when using the recommended amount. A few times my scalp reacted after application. The consistency is not oily but more gel-like. The hair does not look greasy from the product, which I think is important. 🌊Scent: The product is scented (and contains alcohol denat), which is good to keep in mind if you have a sensitive scalp that easily gets irritated. I think the scent leans more towards men's fragrance. Fresh and a bit aquatic, not super strong but noticeable. 🌿Results: I haven't noticed any significant differences in how my scalp feels or how often I've experienced issues since I started using the product. Perhaps it alleviates the discomfort when they do arise, but it may not be a miracle cure for sensitive scalps. Not convinced YET, but good!
I have tested the serum for ten days and find it so far to be quite neutral, neither good nor bad. The scent is fresh and pleasant, which makes the application a nice moment. The consistency feels light, and the serum absorbs quickly without weighing the hair down. So far, I haven't noticed any significant difference in hair quality or scalp condition, but it feels nourishing during use. I look forward to seeing if the effect becomes more noticeable with the next course. A good start, but no miracles so far. Totally okay
I have very dry scalp and the only thing that helps is that I wash my hair often, unfortunately I have also dyed my hair which means I don't want to wash my hair that often so that the color lasts as long as possible! I thought this oil might help with my itchy scalp so that I could maybe take a little longer break between washes, i.e. maybe every 3-4 days instead of every other, which my scalp prefers. The treatment is to be taken for 3 weeks, which I have now done, and I definitely noticed that it itched a LITTLE less, but unfortunately no wow effect. I have now gone back to washing my hair every other day, you can't have it all here in the world, and having fun colors in my hair + a scalp that feels good is unfortunately something I have to realize I won't achieve at the same time. The consistency of the serum is however very pleasant, and the hair doesn't get greasy whether you use it on dry or damp hair! The scent was totally okay but also nothing wow! If the product had been cheaper, I would absolutely consider continuing with it, but for the price and the effect being just okay, this is something I unfortunately won't buy again! I have used the product on towel-dried hair and I find that it is the best! Then I blow-dry my hair and you can't feel the product on the scalp 🤗 It smells good and pleasant, not too strong in my opinion. It's easy to distribute the serum in the hair with the pipette and then rub it in with your fingers. I don't notice any huge difference yet, but I will continue to use the serum to see what effect it can have! I think the price is a bit steep and I would have liked to see it as a miracle product for that price if I'm going to buy it again 😅 I am participating in a test panel and have received a free test product.145 views
