Positively surprised!
I was a bit skeptical about this mascara before I tried it, as I tested the Power lash waterproof mascara from LH last year, which didn't suit me at all. It didn't sit well at all and made me look like a panda after just 30 minutes, even though it was supposed to be waterproof. With that in mind, I had the Soft Volume sitting in stock for almost a year at home before I finally got around to trying it. But Power Lash - Soft Volume positively surprises right from the first use! I usually think new mascaras have a certain break-in period before they work well, but not this one. The lashes are nicely separated and get a nice length already on the first coat. The small silicone brush is just perfect for reaching all the lashes, even the tiniest ones. Even though it's not waterproof, it still holds up very well throughout the day. There's no smudging or flaking at all. I have still tested it at the gym and out on dog walks in the woods in stormy weather. However, I haven't been out in the rain with it. I mostly use waterproof or a tubing mascara, as I have issues with watery eyes and slightly droopy eyelids that mascara often smudges on. But if it holds this well, a non-waterproof one works too. A plus is that it’s not at all irritating for my sensitive eyes!
