Growth booster serum
I have now been testing products from Elvita Growth Booster, L'Oréal Paris together with Smartson for about a month! (I received these products for free for evaluation) I have tested both shampoo, conditioner & serum, which has been very fun as I have tested similar products but significantly more expensive before. The first time I used the serum, I reacted to the fact that it smelled very strong and was a little afraid of a reaction. But no, my scalp did not react at all and now I have gotten used to the scent. I have applied the serum to my scalp after showering and then massaged it in for about 2-4 minutes each time. I have used it from time to time on the other days as well, but since my hair easily becomes and looks greasy, most of the time it has been before washing my hair, that is, either the night before or the day it is to be washed. The serum ran out faster than the shampoo and conditioner in the same series, so at the end of the test period I continued without it. I still think the serum has done something for my hair, as I can see some new hair strands and feel that my hair also feels fuller! The only downside was that my hair easily looked greasy. If I blow-dried my hair after washing and applying the serum, it looked less greasy, but on the days I skipped it, I thought it looked a little greasy already the next day. Convenient serum but strong scent and uncertain results
The serum was easy to apply directly to the scalp, although I found it a bit difficult to know how much product was actually needed. One thing that stood out to me was the scent – it is quite strong, which didn't really appeal to me. However, the positive aspect was that my hair didn't become greasy from the serum, which I often worry about with products that are meant to be massaged into the scalp. It absorbed quickly and felt light, without leaving any residue. When it comes to the results, it's difficult to say. I haven't noticed any significant difference in either hair growth or hair quality so far, but I believe it could be a product that requires long-term use before seeing effects. Overall, the serum feels okay – it's easy to use and doesn't weigh the hair down, but the strong scent and lack of noticeable results make me a bit hesitant about whether I will continue to use it. Do not recommend the product
I bought four bottles of Elvital Glow Booster Scalp Serum from Lyko for a total of 406 kr. The product has, despite correct usage, made my hair extremely dry, coarse, and hindered hair growth, something that has never happened before. I contacted Lyko for a complaint and explained the situation, but was told that the product "is not defective" and that they do not offer refunds as they do not have any satisfaction guarantee. I also received no support for the fact that the product has damaged my hair, which I consider completely incorrect according to consumer rights. I am very disappointed both in the product and in how the complaint was handled. Good scalp serum
I have supplemented with the L’Oréal Paris Growth Booster Serum in the same series as the shampoo and conditioner, and I think it’s a really good finishing product in the routine. The serum is light in consistency and doesn’t feel greasy or sticky on the scalp, which can otherwise be a risk with leave-in products. It’s easy to apply thanks to the dropper, and it absorbs quickly without leaving any residue. My thin, fine hair feels stronger and fuller, and together with the shampoo and conditioner, it feels like the whole series makes a noticeable difference. The hair feels healthier, easier to style, and more resilient. I would have wished for a bit more moisture in the lengths, but as a scalp treatment, it works very well. A serum that really enhances the effect of the other products in the series.
