Question about the color
Would the color Shale look gray or purple? The comment was made 2 monthsHello Ninel E! 👋 What a great question! I would say both, but mostly purple. Shale is a cool mauve-purple with a satin finish and a slightly gray/taupe base, so it can lean more purple in daylight (especially on cool undertones) and a bit more gray/mole in warmer light. To get it as cool purple as possible, apply it over a white or cool purple base/liner, pack the shadow on the lid first and only lightly blend the edges, and use a neutral/cool transition shade around the crease. If you're aiming for a really pure blue-toned purple, Shale's gray base might feel softer than you want, but for a sophisticated cool purple everyday tone, it works nicely.
