Settles into the wrinkles
Really hoping that I finally bought a concealer that I could use on dark circles under my eyes. Unfortunately, I didn’t - like all the other concealers I’ve tried, it settles right into all my fine wrinkles under my eyes (43 years old and lots of little lines..) and cakes up so I look worse than before I put it on… Buhu - any tips on what works??? 🤍 A concealer that feels more like skincare
I’ve really fallen for the NYX Bare With Me Concealer Serum! The first thing I like is the feel on the skin. It feels much lighter than many other concealers I’ve tried, and I avoid that feeling of having a thick layer of makeup under my eyes. I mainly use it under the eyes and where I want to even out the skin a bit. I find it super easy to blend, and it works well to start with a little product and then build up where I want more coverage. What I like the most is the finish. The skin still looks like skin afterward, just smoother and a bit fresher. I really think this is the kind of concealer I want to use daily when I don’t want my base to look heavy or overdone. ✨ Vanilla is also a shade I really like. I like when the concealer melts into the rest of the base instead of becoming too light and obvious under the eyes. Another big favorite is that it feels moisturizing. I think the area under the eyes feels soft after application, and I really appreciate the slightly more serum-like feel. The only thing I would say is that if I want really high coverage, I need to build it up in layers. But personally, I actually think that’s an advantage because I’d rather build coverage than start with too much. This is simply a concealer I like to use when I want smoother skin, a bit of coverage, and a natural finish without feeling overdone. I have searched high and low for a new concealer that works with my rosacea-reddened skin and the dark shadows under my eyes, and hey presto! NYX concealer in the shade “Beige”. It covers so well but doesn’t get cakey or clumpy, which has happened so far when I’ve tried different brands and types of concealer. A little disappointed …
It gets very dry despite using various products beforehand to avoid that .. But seems super economical as it doesn’t need much product at all!
