Exceeded Expectations
I have rosacea and usually have a hard time finding primers that don't dry out or crumble, but this one exceeded my expectations! My skin didn't react at all, and the makeup stayed incredibly well! I usually use Lumene CC cream and find that it gives a better finish when I've used this beforehand. First impression: oh so runny! Moisturizing but...
A moisturizing serum that leaves a sticky film. Not really my type of primer since hair sticks to the face unless you powder it down after foundation. It gets an extra star just for being so moisturizing. My combination and surface dry skin really liked this. I would recommend it as it does what it claims to do. Used it on both the prom and graduation day, etc. I have tested the green one from Milk, but I find that it crumbles with cream products, which this one does not. I recommend trying it. Really good primer!
I have sensitive and dry skin and have often had reactions to primers, as well as had problems with makeup "rolling" on top of the primer. This primer causes no breakouts on my skin and no redness, which has often been a problem. I find that it sinks in well to the skin and provides moisture and glow. It becomes very "sticky" after a little while, and I think that the makeup adheres well and lasts well for most of the day. By the afternoon, it loosens a bit, but that usually happens for me with all primers. I am very satisfied with this primer, exceeding my expectations! Perfect for dry skin – glow both with and without makeup!
I have dry skin and the Grippy Serum Primer has really become a new favorite! It feels like a moisturizing serum but also provides a really good base for foundation that lasts all day. I also use it without makeup, on top of my skincare, and it gives a nice glow and evens out the skin surface immediately. The formula is a bit runny at first, but that makes it easy to apply and it sinks into the skin quickly. The dropper is handy and easy to dose with, and the size of the bottle feels just right – it lasts a long time but is still easy to take with you. Big plus for being fragrance-free, vegan, and containing 2% niacinamide – my skin feels both softer and more hydrated.
