Exceeded Expectations
I have rosacea and usually have a hard time finding primers that don't dry out or crumble, but this one exceeded my expectations! My skin didn't react at all, and the makeup stayed incredibly well! I usually use Lumene CC cream and find that it gives a better finish when I've used this beforehand. First impression: oh so runny! Something gross about it
I've had this primer before and I like the product, but when I got it home it was sticky with something brown. Suitable for every skin type
This primer is like a serum and not only ensures that makeup lasts better, but also provides the skin with additional moisture. The bottle really looks like a serum, and even when applying it, I felt like I was in my evening routine. This makes application really easy. I was able to apply my makeup afterwards without any problems. Especially now that the days are still warmer and the sun shines stronger, it’s perfect to maintain the perfect look despite sweating and heat. In the evening when removing makeup, my skin didn’t feel as dry as on other days. The primer is suitable for all skin types, including dry skin, and is almost odorless. Amazing product!
Amazing product! Works extremely well for dry/combination skin and keeps the skin moisturized all day if the skincare routine is good before applying the product. Keeps makeup in place all day, but because of combination skin, I have to add a little powder in between. The dropper doesn’t reach all the way to the bottom, so it’s hard to get the last drops out. 💗 A primer that really feels like a serum!
I was actually really pleasantly surprised by Maybelline Grippy Serum Primer! I had almost expected a classic sticky primer, but it feels much lighter and serum-like when you first apply it. 🥹 I usually take just 1-2 drops and massage it into moisturized skin. It almost feels like a regular serum at first, but after a few seconds the feeling changes and the skin becomes a bit grippy. And that's really when you understand the point of this primer. 😂✨ When I then apply foundation on top, I think it adheres much better. The base feels more cohesive and I really like that feeling that the makeup actually stays put instead of slowly fading away during the day. What I appreciate extra much is that it doesn't just focus on longevity. It also feels moisturizing and fresh on the skin, so I don't get that dry primer feeling that I sometimes get with products made only to make makeup stick. I actually think the skin looks nice even when I use it without makeup. It gives a little fresh glow, which makes it feel more like a combination of skincare and primer. 🤍 One important thing, though, is not to use too much. 😂 I think 1-2 drops are plenty, and if I use too much it can get a bit too sticky and then there's a risk that the makeup starts to roll. I also really like that it is fragrance-free. It feels nice when a primer can be so simple and neutral while still doing so much for the base. For me, this is the kind of primer I like to use when I want my makeup to last long, look fresh, and still feel light on the skin.
