π A primer I really love!
I have really fallen for the NYX Plump Right Back Primer + Serum! This is a primer that I feel is more like skincare than a classic primer, and that's probably exactly why I like it so much. π₯Ήπ€ The first thing I notice is how hydrated the skin feels after application. The texture is light and a bit gel-like, and it glides very nicely over the skin. I think it gives the face a fresh and slightly plumper feeling without it feeling like I've applied a thick layer of product. What I especially like is how the makeup sits on top. Foundation and concealer feel much easier to work with, and I think the base gets a smoother and fresher finish. β¨ It also leaves a very light grip feeling on the skin, but for me, that's more positive than annoying. I actually think it gives that feeling that the makeup really has something to hold onto. I also like that it absorbs quite quickly. I prefer not to wait too long between skincare and makeup, so it really fits into my routine. And the glow! π The skin gets such a fresh and hydrated look that I think is super nice even under a fairly simple makeup. It's really a primer for the days when I want the base to look a bit more alive. The only thing I think you should keep in mind is not to use too much. A small amount works very well for me, and then the result feels much nicer and lighter. This has definitely become one of the primers I like to reach for when I want hydration, glow, and a base that stays looking good. I have dry skin especially around my nose and my foundation gets "cakey." I've tried many primers and have been okay with some, but with this primer it turned out so nice!! Nyx primer
A primer that has worked great for my skin and my makeupπ€ I have previously used Milk's hydro grip primer as I prefer a sticky and simple texture that is quite long-lasting. I would say this primer is a cheaper alternative to Milk's primer. My skin can sometimes get very red and I can get breakouts, but this primer is very light and mild which allows me to do my makeup and cover these areas without worrying about it becoming dry or uneven. Maybe not your β¨οΈtypicalβ¨οΈ makeup video you usually see in reviews. But here Iβm showing my sweaty reality haha! Imagine: Gothenburg city center Heat: 30+ Coming home to a sweaty apartment For reference: I always sweat a lot on my face β so annoying! I really think this primer makes the makeup sit really nicely, the skin feels plumped and it gets that nice grippy feeling on the skin before you apply your base. Have been using this for several years, it does what itβs supposed to, leaves the skin kind of tacky and sticky so the base really stays all day, the scent is pleasant! A good primer that is βlightβ in texture and at the same time gives some glow but also provides good longevity. I find that it probably suits many skin types as it gives some hydration but not too much, so it doesnβt get greasy. But for me, itβs hard to say if it gives better longevity, maybe because I rarely experience problems with the longevity of my makeup.
