My hair is bleached several times and of course it gets damaged. Moisture for the ends is simply a must. I usually apply this to the entire length and leave it on for about 2-3 minutes. I would recommend experimenting with the application time, as it absorbs at different speeds depending on how dry the hair is. The only downside is the price.
