Really good shampoo for fine hair
I have tested the Redken Acidic Grow Full System Shampoo, and overall it is a really good shampoo, especially if you have fine hair and want more volume. The shampoo has a fresh and slightly citrusy scent, which is not too strong, but still leaves the hair with a clean and pleasant fragrance after washing. The texture is light and a bit gel-like, and it lathers quickly in the hair. You don't need to use much product, which makes it quite economical. After washing, the hair feels clean, soft, and a bit more airy at the roots, without becoming heavy. After some time of use, the hair also seems a bit stronger and less prone to breakage. However, you shouldn't expect the shampoo to make your hair grow faster directly – the effect is more about strengthening the hair and giving it a fuller appearance. All in all, it is a shampoo that gives a good and fresh feeling in the hair and works well for fine hair that lacks some volume. Irritates airways and lungs
In collaboration with Smartson, I have for 2 weeks and at no cost been able to try the Redken Acidic Grow Full System series with shampoo, conditioner, serum, and spray. After the first wash, my hair felt very rough and hard. It got somewhat better after the second wash but was still rougher than usual. I feel that my hair became flatter and less voluminous than before I started the test. An unpleasant thing I have never experienced before was that when rinsing out the hair, vapors were created in the shower that I inhaled, and it irritated my airways and lungs. It felt corrosive, and I had coughing fits with every shampoo. It doesn't seem very healthy. The products together cost about 1800 SEK. Good for thin and fine hair!
I have tested the entire Redken Acidic Grow Full series and am genuinely impressed – especially considering that I have thin, fine hair and a scalp that can be both dry and quickly become oily. The scent is really lovely and feels luxurious. Right after washing, I experienced the hair as a bit rough, but it turned out to be an advantage – when the hair dried, I got noticeably more volume and a lighter result than usual. A really good series for those with fine hair who want more volume, better scalp balance, and a fuller result – without compromising the feeling of clean and fresh hair. Good shampoo, but overwhelming scent
The shampoo is really good, but I find that it has a stronger and more masculine scent than the other products in the series. The notes are the same, but for some reason, it feels sharper and more edgy than both the conditioner and leave-in products. Very economical to use, which is really nice, so you feel like you get value for money. The shampoo cleans well already on the first wash (if you wash with shampoo twice per wash like I do). Good volume
I have thin hair strands but a lot of hair, and have long struggled with it feeling flat and lacking volume. This shampoo actually made a noticeable difference already after a few washes. The hair feels clean without becoming rough or dry, and I feel like I’ve gotten more natural volume. It lifts the hair from the roots without feeling heavy. I also have a sensitive scalp, but this shampoo hasn’t irritated at all, which is a big plus. The scent reminds me a bit of double douche. Pretty okay
I have tried Redken Acidic Grow Full System Shampoo A shampoo that is pretty okay. It gave volume and smelled nice, the hair felt fresh, and I would say it leans more towards a men's scent than women's but would probably work as unisex. Acidic Grow Full system shampoo
I have been using this shampoo for about two weeks and am very satisfied with the results. It cleans the hair gently but effectively without drying it out, which I really appreciate. The consistency is creamy and easy to distribute in the hair, and it lathers just the right amount. After washing, the hair feels clean, soft, and has a nice natural shine. The scent is fresh and stays subtly afterwards. I also feel that the hair feels stronger and less frizzy. A really good shampoo that I can definitely see myself continuing to use and recommending. Delivers what it promises
My hair: Scandinavian, thin, fine, and brittle in the lengths. Tends to get oily at the scalp but dry in the lengths. I think it’s a good shampoo that cleans the scalp thoroughly, lathers a lot, and gives nice volume that prevents the hair from becoming heavy and oily. After washing before conditioner, the hair feels "squeaky clean." I find that the hair feels fuller after a few weeks of use and has gained better texture. The only thing I really don’t like is the scent; the shampoo has a slightly woody citrus scent that doesn’t appeal to me as I prefer products with more floral fragrance notes. Feels full and fresh
Have been using the products for 2 weeks now and am completely satisfied! The hair feels full and like it has a lot of product in it but without feeling heavy, and it doesn’t get greasy or dirty in the same way as before! The only thing I miss is a component that gives the hair shine. But overall - a product I would use again! If the lengths have become dry and frizzy, it is often because the shampoo is lathered too much through the hair or the lengths need more care. Massage the shampoo mostly into the scalp and let only the foam rinse through the lengths, and follow up with a light, moisturizing conditioner 👍🥰
