Hi Ina ❤️ To clean the Silk’n LED Face Mask, you should use gentle and mild methods to avoid damaging the mask or the LED bulbs. Here are some good alternatives: Safe cleaning methods: ✅ Mild, alcohol-free wipes – Perfect for quick cleaning after use, as long as they don’t contain strong chemicals that could damage the mask’s surface. ✅ Microfiber cloth with mild soap and water – Dampen a soft cloth with a little mild soap solution, wipe the mask, and then dry with a dry cloth. ✅ Alcohol-free disinfecting wipes – To kill bacteria without drying out the material. Avoid: ❌ Alcohol-based products (can dry out or damage the mask’s surface). ❌ Strong chemical cleaners. ❌ Direct water streams (do not rinse the mask under the tap). Wipes can work, but check the ingredients first – they should be alcohol-free and mild. 😊

  • Difference in Quality

Hi, I want to buy an LED mask, but I see that there are different prices for the masks here. What is the biggest difference between the various masks in terms of quality and usage area?

Hi Julie 👋 So exciting to see that you want to try LED masks! 😍 It depends a bit on which masks you are referring to, so I have based this on our bestsellers 1. CurrentBody Skin LED Light Therapy Face Mask Price: Mid-range Light: Red (633 nm) and near-infrared (830 nm) Benefits: Focus on anti-aging (stimulates collagen and elastin) Soft and flexible silicone, adapts well to the face Used for 10 minutes daily Clinically tested with good results 🔸 Suitable for you if: You want a comfortable, effective mask for anti-aging and generally healthier skin. 2. Dr Dennis Gross DRx SpectraLite FaceWare Pro Price: Most expensive of the options Light: Red (anti-aging) and blue (for acne) Benefits: Has both red and blue light – good for both wrinkles and acne. Stiffer fit, may feel less comfortable for some Short treatment time (only 3 minutes) FDA-approved and clinically tested 🔸 Suitable for you if: You want a premium mask with both anti-aging and acne treatment, and a short treatment time. 3. Silk’n LED Face Mask Price: Budget-friendly Light: Red light Benefits: Simpler technology, Mainly anti-aging A bit less powerful than more expensive models 🔸 Suitable for you if: You want an affordable LED mask for anti-aging, but don’t need the strongest lights. 5. STYLPRO LED Wavelength Mask 💰 Price: Medium 💡 Light: Multiple wavelengths (red, blue, green, yellow, purple, cyan, white) 🔍 Benefits: Covers multiple skin needs: Red light → Collagen production (anti-aging) Blue light → Acne Green/yellow → Soothing & evens skin tone Purple/cyan/white → Varying effects (pigment, inflammation, general skin health) Provides more specific treatment options than the simpler masks. Covers the entire face 🔸 Suitable for you if: You want a mask with multiple light options and tailored treatment for different skin conditions. Wishing you a nice day ahead 👋

    LED face mask

I was considering buying this since others had bad experiences with the battery life, but I bought it anyway and I haven't had this problem. I've now used it at least 5 x 15 minutes and haven't needed to charge it. I've been satisfied with the product 🙂

    Uv

Should one wear UV glasses? I tried the mask for the first time today and the light goes up towards the eyes. And what do you wash it with and how?🤎

Hey Ina👋🏼🤩 You don’t need UV glasses when using an LED mask. LED masks for skincare are usually equipped with specific LED lights (red, blue, green, etc.), and they do not generate UV rays that can harm your eyes. Most LED masks are designed to be safe for use on the skin, and most come with instructions on how to use them safely, including avoiding direct exposure of your eyes to the light⭐ To clean your LED mask, you should be careful, as the mask contains electronics and diodes that can be damaged if exposed to water or cleaning agents in the wrong way🤗 Gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth (like a microfiber cloth). This will remove dust and dirt without damaging the mask. Avoid using rough or coarse cloths that could scratch the surface.

    Acne

I was recommended a light mask by my doctor since I've been on iso 4 times and acne is coming back again. Would you recommend this for acne or are there better options on the market?

Hi 👋 Since you finished your isotretinoin course 3 months ago, your skin may still be a bit sensitive. Generally, it is recommended to wait at least 3-6 months before starting with LED masks, especially those with red light, as this can increase circulation and potentially trigger irritation in recently sensitized skin. If your skin feels normal again – without redness, dryness, or sensitivity – you can try to gradually introduce the LED mask: 🔹 Start with low intensity and short sessions (5-10 minutes, 2-3 times a week). 🔹 Use a gentle, moisturizing skincare routine to support the skin barrier. 🔹 Avoid LED if you still experience redness or irritation after use. If you are unsure, it may be wise to check with a dermatologist for an individual assessment! It is wise to use sunscreen when using LED masks, especially if you want to reduce acne and acne scars as well as pigmentation. 🔹 Red light (633 nm) can increase collagen production and make the skin more sensitive to UV radiation. 🔹 Blue light (415 nm) can potentially make the skin more vulnerable as it can have a slight drying effect. Since you recently completed an isotretinoin course, your skin is still in an adjustment phase, and sun protection is extra important. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30-50 daily! ☀️ Wishing you a nice day ahead ✨

Hi Annelie✨ What a nice LED mask you found🎭 When using it, it is recommended to avoid sun exposure for 1 hour after your treatment. Also, do not use the LED mask on sunburned skin as the skin is damaged and needs time to heal. I hope my answer can be helpful and that you have a nice day🌸

Fantastic for acne and acne scars

I've been using the mask for a couple of months and noticed how it speeds up the healing of the skin, especially scars/wounds from acne. It also helps to prevent new skin issues.
