Sunscreen and day cream with SPF
What is the actual difference between sunscreen for the face and face cream with SPF? And I have pigment spots on my upper lip. I have had some effect from Eucerin against pigment before. I was thinking of using cleanser and serum in the evening and spot gel and day cream in the morning. Does this count as four or two applications? Would you rather choose to combine with other products against pigment spots than to use all of these from Eucerin?Translated from norwegian
25 views- Skin therapist at Lyko17 hoursHi Kirsti 👋 Very good question! So fun that you ask 😍 ☀️ Sunscreen for the face (pure sun protection) This is a sun product developed specifically for facial skin – often lighter in consistency than body sunscreens, and more suited for sensitive, oily, dry, or acne-prone skin. ✅ Typical characteristics: -Full UV protection (often broad-spectrum SPF 30–50+) -Formulated to sit nicely under makeup -Often tested for high UVA protection (PA+++ , UVA symbol or high PPD) -Can have extra benefits: anti-aging, pigment reduction, oil control, etc. 🔎 Used as the last step in the morning routine – after moisturizer ☀️ Face cream with SPF (day cream with sun factor) This is primarily a moisturizer that also contains sun filter. ✅ Typical characteristics: -Primarily made for moisture and care – sun protection is a bonus -Often has lower SPF (SPF 15–30), and varies in UVA protection -Can be great for winter use, indoor use, or short exposures 🔎 Not suitable alone if you are going to be outside for a long time or in strong sun – then you should layer sunscreen over it It’s great that you’ve already had positive experiences with Eucerin products for pigment spots 😍 When it comes to your planned routine with Eucerin products, it’s important to be aware of the use of Thiamidol, the active ingredient in these products ⬇️ -Eucerin recommends not exceeding four applications of products containing Thiamidol per day. In your suggested routine: Evening: Cleanser and serum (1 application with Thiamidol) Morning: Spot gel and day cream (2 applications with Thiamidol) This gives a total of 3 applications with Thiamidol per day, which is within the recommended limit. Regardless of which products you choose, consistent use of sun protection is crucial to prevent further pigmentation, especially in areas like the upper lip. Eucerin Anti-Pigment Day Cream SPF30 provides both treatment and protection, but in strong sun, it may be necessary to use a sunscreen with higher SPF! 🙌 If you want guidance or tips for a tailored skincare routine, you are more than welcome to take our free skin test 😍 you can find this in our app under the "Beauty Scan" section. Wishing you a nice day ahead ✨

Caused allergic reaction
Money spent, but won't continue. Caused small burning blisters on my jaw and cheeks. Also, my eyes swelled a little. So the skin got worse. Now that these small blisters are healing, the skin in those areas has started to peel.182 views- 1 weekLuckily, I noticed my skin's reaction and the usage was limited to two times. It's unfortunate that the manufacturer didn't respond this time after I provided feedback there as well. It takes time for the skin to recover, but now we will take care of the product's 'damage' 💗 Have a nice day over there! ☺️

Weird but good
It's the best I've tried, my friend asked what I had done to my face when I used it (in a positive way). It gives a really nice glow. It's true that it removes pigment spots, but if you use the cream less, dark spots will come back, so it's a temporary solution that must continue to be used. Additionally, it counteracts sunburn and tanning from the sun, not just with SPF but with ingredients that inhibit the formation of that type of pigment as well. Not super fun. I also thought it was more noticeable if you didn't use the cream for about 2 weeks and some pigment change came back. All in all, it's good and works but with noticeable side effects. 3.5/5Translated from swedish

Does it work with Retinol?

Meh
I didn't notice that I got any new pigment spots while using this day cream, but I also didn't notice that it removed any of my old pigment spots. In my opinion, there are better products to get rid of existing pigment spots than this day cream. It moisturized well and was a good sunscreen, but to get rid of pigment spots, I would rather buy another product.Translated from swedish
1391 views- 7 monthsHey Fatima. For anti-hyperpigmentation, I would recommend lyko.com/sv/revuele/revuele-revox-just-azelaic-acid-suspension-10- instead. I have also written a review below that you can read to know more about my experience. However, the product is not a day cream, but more of an acid serum. I'm not sure what day creams exist that are anti-pigment, I haven't tested any others than the one above, but if you find a good one you can recommend, feel free to link.
