I haven't tested this for long, and it's my first retinol product, so I don't know yet if it's good or bad. I feel that since I started introducing it into my routine, I've gotten a slightly more even skin tone and a bit smoother skin from bumps. Since the amount you should use is pea-sized, I think the product is affordable.

  Hey A😊 Thanks for your question✨ I do not recommend using CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum and Paula's Choice BHA toner at the same time in the same routine. Both contain active ingredients that can be taxing on the skin together and increase the risk of irritation and a compromised skin barrier. For the best results – and to be gentle on the skin – feel free to use them on different evenings. If you are new to retinol, try it on a small area first to see how your skin reacts to this and only 1-2 evenings a week to ease in. Always use sunscreen during the day.   Hi Maja😊 Thank you for your question✨ Yes, you can use CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum together with Blemish Control Cleanser, but to avoid irritation, we recommend alternating the evenings. So use the retinol serum 1–2 times a week in the evening (note, recommended from 20 years and up) and cleanse with Blemish Cleanser on the other evenings. Blemish cleanser is an exfoliating cleanser that can be too much to use daily. Always finish with a moisturizer and don’t forget sunscreen during the day! Start cautiously with retinol and gradually increase depending on how your skin reacts, and feel free to patch test on a small area first. Hope this helps and that you have a lovely day🌞

Can this serum be used as an anti-age serum only? I don't have acne problems. I like Cerave otherwise.

Effects already after a few weeks
I have been using this product for 2 years and I am honestly satisfied, to the point that I always buy it for my mom and sister for Christmas. The product is effective and you can definitely see a difference after a few weeks. It has worked 100% for me and I will always come back to it!

More Serums?
Hey! Can this be used as my only serum after application? Or do I need to have a complementary serum in addition to this? Right now I’m using toner from Klaris, then Vichy’s serum, then 345 skin cream. Cleansing with CeraVe hydrating cleanser. I would love to add a retinol product to my routine for a more even and pore-free surface... Does this work together then?

  Hi Engla😊 This can be used as a standalone serum in the evening after acclimation, but I always recommend alternating with moisture, so the best thing is to choose 2-3 evenings and then use a moisturizing serum on the other evenings so that the skin has a chance to recover in between. Experiment and see how your skin feels. Feel free to wait with retinol until autumn, as the skin can become sun-sensitive from this ingredient, also be careful with sun protection during the day regardless. So im planning on purchasing: blemish control cleanser Blemish control gel Resurfacing retinol serum How should I use these correctly? What order? Should I swap any product with another one from cerave? I have acne and a lot of blackheads! Will this help?

  Hi Nadja 😊👋 Both the cleanser and the blemish gel contain BHA. The cleanser can be used a few times a week to exfoliate the skin, but using it daily might be too much. Exfoliating with this type of cleanser one to two evenings before applying retinol can help boost the effects of the retinol, but this also depends entirely on your skin type, age, and sensitivity. Retinol also isn’t usually recommended during summer, as it can increase the skin’s sensitivity. The gel shouldn’t be combined with retinol either, as that might be too harsh. Instead, it can be used as a spot treatment when needed, on separate days or at different times.
