The sea sponge has very small pores, which makes it well suited to use for applying foundation and make-up as well as deep cleaning of sensitive skin around the eyes and nose. Use:
Rinse in warm water after each use and then allow the sea sponge to air dry. Don't bleach it, don't boil it, don't machine wash it, don't wring it - take care of the sea sponge by giving it a gentle hug. To deep clean the sea sponge, soak it in a solution of half warm water and half white wine vinegar for up to an hour. Then rinse the sea sponge well with water only and allow to air dry. Deep cleaning can also be carried out with warm water and grapefruit seed extract (Citricical), which is naturally antibacterial. Then rinse the sea sponge well with water only and allow to air dry.
