Sophisticated and sexy
I really understand the hype around Burberry Goddess! The perfume is very sweet with a strong vanilla scent, it really smells luxurious and sophisticated, not cheap or overly sweet at all. It has a bit of lavender which I think makes the scent fresh and elegant while the vanilla gives a warm and cozy feeling. I think it smells mature and grown-up, perfect for autumn and winter days. I have also found that it lasts really well on the skin, and I can still smell it several hours later. I've received several compliments when I've worn it, which is always a plus. The bottle is also super nice and sleek, and I like that it can be refilled. I have to give a shoutout to this perfume: I, who usually hate everything with lavender and have a really hard time with vanilla, absolutely love this! The lavender is so nicely blended that it doesn’t come off as sharp as I usually experience it. And the vanilla isn’t that sickly sweet that makes me want to puke, it’s deeper and more... gourmand? The composition as a whole is a bullseye, and it quickly became my absolute favorite. It does require a little touch-up after half a day to last all the way, but it’s definitely worth it. Finally, the bottle is fantastically beautiful, so it absolutely doesn’t matter that it’s out on display and gets to shine. 🤍 That perfume you want to smell all the time
I actually think this is one of the nicest vanilla scents I've tried. 😍 I usually really gravitate towards warm and slightly sweeter scents, but what I like about Burberry Goddess is that it doesn't just become sweet and sugary. It feels much more elegant than that. The first thing I notice is a soft and slightly aromatic feeling from the lavender, but then the vanilla comes through more and more. On my skin, it becomes warm, creamy, and almost a bit cozy – like a truly luxurious vanilla you want to keep smelling all day. 🤍 I find it very easy to wear. It's the kind of perfume I can imagine using both for everyday when I want to feel a little extra nice and when I'm going somewhere and want a more “put-together” feeling. What I really appreciate is that it feels feminine without being too youthfully sweet. It has something warm and sophisticated about it that makes me think it feels very well thought out. And the bottle is so incredibly beautiful! 😭✨ It really feels luxurious to have out, and I also like that it's made to be refillable. I also think the longevity is really good. I can still smell the scent several hours after spraying it, especially if I spray a little on my clothes. This is simply the kind of perfume that makes me feel a bit more “put-together” just by putting it on. Mature Vanilla
I got to test Goddess Eau de Parfum from Burberry. The first impression is an elegant bottle with golden details that gives a feeling of luxury and matches the scent very well. The initial scent is a bit warm and intense, spicy vanilla with a darkness to it. But when it hits the skin and gets to mature a bit, it becomes a milder, yet warm and mature vanilla scent that isn’t too sweet. It’s feminine and sensual without being too much. As a 36-year-old, I like vanilla scents, but often find them too girly and sugary sweet, but this one suits me well. I don’t really get a wow feeling of something very unique with this, plus it doesn’t have the longest longevity on the skin and needs refreshing throughout the day, so it doesn’t get full marks. I happened to get a test from Lyko of Burberry's Goddess perfume, which was a funny coincidence because I've already been using this perfume for 1.5 years. I love vanilla sweet dessert-like scents, and Burberry Goddess is in my TOP 5 perfumes specifically in this category. The scent is fresh and sweet at the same time, and it suits many different wearers. I also love how this perfume always smells a little different depending on the user's skin pH, so it doesn't feel like "oh, everyone has this," but you still have to ask the wearer what perfume they have because it might smell a bit different on someone else, but always good. This is also an excellent perfume to layer with another fragrance if you want to add vanilla to another scent because it works really well combined with other fragrances. The bottle is beautifully classic and luxurious, and you gladly take it with you in your bag. I don't think anyone can hate this scent, and that's why, even though perfumes are often intimate and individual to their wearer, I dare to recommend this also as a gift! I don't think any vanilla lover would be upset to receive this delicious scent as a gift. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give this a 10, gourmand perfumes. I will buy this again and again. A really good feminine, fresh, and delicious scent. Wonderful vanilla perfume 💛
I have, as #lykoinflutester, had the chance to test this perfume from #burberry ✨️ A very beautiful glass bottle with gold details that matches the scent as well as its name, is the first impression 💛 It is a feminine type of vanilla scent with a light woodiness. Somewhere between powdery and fresh. Warm and sweet with a hint of heat. The sweetness is there in a mature way without becoming, what many would call, cloying. My boyfriend thinks it’s a nice but "ordinary girl scent." A girl friend thought it was "very vanilla," in a positive way. I personally think it’s wonderful 💛 the longevity on the skin is okay, but not optimal. It fades within about 6 hours.
