I bought this because I love the sheet mask in the same series, Benton Fermentation mask π I have very dry, thin porcelain-like skin that needs a lot of moisture and oil to thrive.
Just like the mask, this contains Galactomyces ferment filtrate, which the toner is largely made up of. It is a type of nutrient-rich yeast that is a byproduct of Japanese rice wine, when it has just been fermented/undergoing fermentation. The yeast then has an enormous amount of fine properties: it cleanses, tightens, softens, soothes, heals, has anti-aging effects, tightens pores, lightens pigmentation spots, fights acne, etc., all with the help of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids π
The main ingredient has thus been fermented/undergoing a fermentation process like sauerkraut, which has brought out an enormous amount of benefits. Sauerkraut is apparently super good for our stomachs, and this is for the skin! π "Galactomyces ferment filtrate", super easy to understand and explain π¬π
Then there is lavender, which is soothing, grape extract π which is also skin-caring, and lemon extract π
Maybe there will be some effect in the long run, but I don't notice anything after 1 month of use π€ It doesn't irritate, but it also doesn't provide much moisture - I would prefer glycerin in it, and that's not here.
Smells a bit yeasty and skunky π Not good, but disappears quickly.
- I see that this has been discontinued on Lyko, but I still want to review it since it's available in many other places βΊοΈ-

Good that it's unfragranced and has no colorants.

Generous amount.

Nice ingredients.
I give it a 3 rating and think it would suit someone with less dry skin better!
