Takes a little time to learn...
I find that the product is very transparent when you apply it and then the pigment gets stronger after a minute. Therefore, it takes a little time to learn to apply the right amount. I have now used up the whole bottle but can't say that I see any difference (but on the other hand, I don't know how it would have looked if I hadn't used it). I can only apply it to wet hair because if I put it on dry hair, the hair immediately looks greasy.
