    Leave-on peeling

I have received this product for testing to give my honest opinion ❤️ This is a renewing peeling that is supposed to reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles. It is meant to increase cell renewal in the skin and provide a smoother complexion. I, the tester, have sensitive skin with a somewhat damaged skin barrier and some fine lines on my forehead. I am always a bit skeptical about exfoliation since my skin very easily reacts with redness and stinging. Like the two creams I have tested from Dermalogica, this one also contains a good amount of fragrance and essential oils. I have tested it a few times and unfortunately, each time I end up with redness and stinging. I am also a bit skeptical about using an exfoliating product twice a day, as the description says you should with this one. But if you have a normal skin type with a healthy skin barrier, it might work well. It’s unfortunate that there are so many irritating substances for my skin in this product. It would have been interesting to see if it had any effect on fine lines. It’s probably a great product, it just didn’t suit my skin, unfortunately. #lykotestpilot#dermalogica

    Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50

I have received this product for testing and here is my honest opinion. This is supposed to be a lightweight day cream with SPF50 that increases firmness, elasticity, and moisture content. I have very sensitive skin that needs a lot of moisture, and I am also prone to acne. This is a cream that feels very light on the skin. It absorbs quickly and does not feel sticky on my skin. Unfortunately, I experience mild irritation from this. Similar to the Pro-Collagen Banking Water Cream from the same brand that I have also tested, this also contains some fragrances and essential oils that can irritate sensitive skin. It's a shame because I really liked the feel of this, and who doesn't need a day cream with SPF50 ☺️ This cream has chemical sunscreens (like Avobenzone and Homosalate) that can work great for a healthy skin barrier, but for me, mineral sunscreens usually work better. I would think this is a nice day cream for those who do not have skin as sensitive as mine. #lykotestpilot #dermalogica

    Dermalogica Pro-Collagen Banking Water Cream

I received this product for testing and here is my honest opinion. I have skin that is quite sensitive, dehydrated, and acne-prone. I need a lot of moisture and gentle products. This is a gel-cream that is supposed to plump the skin as well as preserve collagen and elastin. The packaging is fun, but I notice that it often doesn’t pump out any product, so I have to press several times to get some out. The cream has a light gel consistency and feels like water when applied to the skin 💦 I find that it takes quite a long time to absorb, so I have used this in the evening when I’m not wearing makeup over it. So, how did it work for me? Unfortunately, not at all. I experienced quite a bit of stinging shortly after application, and on several occasions, I had to wash it off again because the stinging was unbearable. Unfortunately, I think this has way too many essential oils and fragrances for me; it smells very strongly of citrus and contains, among other things, orange, bergamot, and lemon peel oils, rosemary oil, and sandalwood oil. It has a lovely consistency, but unfortunately, it was a clash for my skin. #lykotestpilot#dermalogica

    What happened?

This has always been my go-to bronzer. It came in a large package of (I think) 17g. It was a powder bronzer that was easy to blend and very economical to use. Isadora chose to change the packaging, so now it comes in 10g at the same price (!). But it can't just be the packaging that has changed, because this bronzer is now so powdery that it's barely usable. I've never experienced a product that gives me more kickback than this one. I've tried different brushes, but the brush barely picks up any product at all. This was a big disappointment and I miss the old formula and packaging, where you got both a quality product and a good amount of product at a good price. #lykoreview

    Lovely Hair Serum

I have been testing the serum for 2 weeks now. This serum claims to be clinically proven to increase hair growth by 214% in just ten days. I have applied it to my scalp every night. I divided my hair into sections and applied 3 drops in each section. This serum is very concentrated and spreads so easily – which I love! It has a gel-like texture. The hair looks quite wet after application but dries very quickly. I also love the dropper on this, it’s very easy to get the right amount of product out. Even after 2 weeks, I still have plenty left in the bottle. I haven’t had any negative reactions on my scalp from using it and feel my scalp is more moisturized. I sometimes struggle with quite a bit of itching on my scalp, which has completely disappeared with the use of this serum. The hair also doesn’t feel greasy the next day, which is a big plus for me. It smells quite masculine when applied, but I think the scent fades once it’s dry. Whether it helps with hair growth, I don’t know yet. Even though it claims to show visible results in ten days, I personally haven’t noticed anything yet. Maybe in the long run! I will continue to use it anyway, as I like how moisturized and healthy my scalp feels. Maybe I’ll get a positive effect with better hair growth over time ☺️ #lykotestpilot#hairification

    Pure Grow Conditioner

I have tested this conditioner along with the shampoo from the same series for ten days on my thin, Nordic hair. The conditioner is rich in peptides that are supposed to regenerate and strengthen thin hair. The bottle has the same cool design as the shampoo. I think the conditioner has a nice consistency – neither too thick nor too thin. It smells like the shampoo – a mild, slightly masculine scent, but I don’t notice it in my hair after rinsing it out. I apply this after shampooing and leave it on for 2 minutes before rinsing it out. The hair becomes easier to comb, but for my hair, I don’t feel this provides enough moisture. It doesn’t feel as soft and pleasant as when using a more moisturizing conditioner. But that’s probably just my hair being a bit drier and needing more moisture. A good conditioner, but not a new favorite for me. #lykotestpilot#hairification

    Pure Grow Shampoo

This is a shampoo that promises a lot! Clinically proven to increase hair growth in just ten days. For me, who has typically thin and Nordic hair, with some thinning at the temples, this sounded very promising. The first thing I have to say is that the packaging is quite unique and looks very cool on the shower shelf. It's easy to dose out the right amount of product. The scent is mild, but like the scalp serum from the same series, a bit masculine. I find the shampoo lathers easily and is very economical to use. I have shampooed twice (as I always do) and followed up with conditioner from the same series. I can reveal that I haven't seen any effect on hair growth in these ten days and the hair felt very dry and tired the first few times I used it, but after a few washes the hair started to feel a bit softer. But it actually makes the hair feel thicker, which is a big plus for me! I will continue to test this going forward, so I'll see if it actually has any effect on hair growth 😅 #lykotestpilot#hairification

    Essence Silky Blur Powder

I’m always on the lookout for good setting powders, and with dry skin, I’m looking for a thin powder that sets makeup nicely but doesn’t emphasize dry patches or change the tone of the base I have underneath. I was excited to test this powder, especially since it’s called “Silky Blur” – it must be a thin and silky powder, right? And yes, the skin really feels like silk. This powder is talc-free, and I thought maybe it would feel less drying on the skin. After application, the skin really looks airbrushed, but unfortunately, the effect is short-lived. After half an hour, the makeup has already started to separate, and I look very cakey. I also feel extremely dry in the skin. By the end of the day, the makeup looks very bad, and I look very oily. I don’t feel like this powder sets the makeup. I also noticed that my eyes seemed a bit irritated by this powder, and I could itch a little on my face. It should also be mentioned that it has a very strong scent, so that might be the cause. The powder has a pink/peach tone and is very brightening, which I think can be nice under the eyes but not on the rest of the face. I had to go over with more bronzer than usual to get some color back in my face. Unfortunately, this did not become a favorite for me. #lykoreview

Hi Isabella! 😊 Thank you so much for sharing such a thorough and detailed review. It’s always exciting to read how a product performs on different skin types, and you describe your experience in a very informative way 💖 It sounds like you really put the powder to the test – from the first impression with the silky soft feel and the blurred finish to how it performed throughout the day. Lovely Scent

I got to test this perfume as a Lyko test pilot ❤️ When it comes to scent, I really like somewhat deep, mysterious fragrances. I like that they are a bit complex and that you can’t necessarily pinpoint the notes on the first sniff 😅 This one has a lavender scent, which gives a very fresh aroma. It also has jasmine, which gives it the depth I like. The base is coconut, which is one of my favorite smells. On my top list of perfumes are, among others, Versace Crystal Noir and Burberry Goddess. Personally, I love this perfume! I think it gives a lovely blend of mystique, depth, and freshness and it’s very summery! I think jasmine might be the dominant note in this perfume, but I also sense a hint of lavender and mild coconut. I’m going to use this a lot this summer 😍 It’s absolutely lovely! #lykotestpilot #hugoboss

    Recommended!

I have tested these pimple patches and the originals in the red packaging. The red ones worked like magic for me, both on squeezed/open pimples and the deep ones under the skin. The difference between these and the originals is that these are supposed to be thinner and barely visible on the skin. I'm not sure if I can fully agree with that claim, but they are definitely thinner and maybe a bit more comfortable to wear on the skin. However, I have only tested these at night, as I often wear makeup during the day and then these become a bit too visible. I am just as satisfied with these as with the originals! They suck out the pus from open pimples and reduce the size of the deep ones under the skin. I am very pleased and will switch from my regular patches from Cosrx to these 😍 #lykotestpilot#hero
