A universal skin savior!
I have been using Cicaplast Balm B5+ for several years now, and I must say: this is one of the most versatile and repairing products I have ever had. It truly deserves a 5-star diploma. I have always bought this product when autumn comes, but this time I was so lucky to receive the product as #lykoinflutester 💕The review is therefore based on my year-long experience with the product. What makes it so good? It is soothing, restorative, and protective, just what my skin screams for when winter arrives and the cold bites. The formula contains panthenol (vitamin B5) which helps with healing and relief. It has a rich, but not sticky texture – just thick enough to soothe and protect, without feeling like petroleum jelly. It absorbs well after application, and you only need to use small amounts! Additionally, it is fragrance-free, which is gold when the skin is sensitive or irritated.  It is especially genius in winter, that’s when I use it the most. When it’s cold outside, I often find that my skin becomes tight, rough, and easily irritated – both on my face, hands, and other exposed areas. This helps me repair the damaged skin layer quickly. It forms a protective barrier against wind, cold, and dry air, while providing moisture without being sticky and gross. I use it as a thick night mask on my cheeks, elbows, and shins, and it really helps to retain moisture. One of the things I love most about this is that it is so multifunctional. I also use it to care for my cuticles💅🏽My cuticles often become dry and brittle in winter, but with a thin layer of Cicaplast Balm, they feel soft and nourishing, and the skin around my nails looks much healthier. The richer consistency means that the product stays and works, and doesn’t just disappear right away. Conclusion If you are looking for an all-around repair balm that really delivers, especially in the cold months, La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5+ is a must-have. It is rich, but not heavy; effective, but gentle; and universal enough that you can use it everywhere – even on cuticles! Pigmented!!!
This was much stronger than I thought. I used gloves during application, but I definitely should have used gloves in the shower to rinse out as well. Both hands and shower had to be scrubbed, there was color everywhere🫠 That being said: The result was good, it refreshed the color I had from before, and covered the areas that got bleached by the sun this summer. Little/No Visible Effect
I had hoped this would be to my liking, especially since it is organic certified, cruelty-free, and marketed as soothing for sensitive skin. Unfortunately, I did not experience the effect that was promised. The consistency is light, but it lays on the skin like a matte layer and doesn't feel very hydrating. As for the effect, I noticed none?😅My skin actually felt a bit dry again after a while, despite containing ingredients like apricot kernel oil, shea butter, and jojoba oil. It provided no noticeable improvement for me, even after several weeks of use morning and night. I appreciate that 99.7% of the ingredients are of natural origin. But in practice, it feels more like a superficial barrier than a deeply penetrating eye cream. I had hoped for a more noticeable and long-lasting effect, especially since it is targeted towards sensitive skin. Safe and Everyday-Friendly Cream
Skin type: combination with rosacea. I have used both the day and night creams over a period, and they have several good qualities. Unlike the day cream, the consistency of the night cream is a bit thicker, it needs to be worked into the skin a bit, but then it absorbs quickly. Like the day cream, it is suitable for sensitive skin. The skin feels calmed and lightly moisturized right after application, without feeling heavy or greasy. That said, I did not experience any major visible results over time. The skin's moisture, glow, and firmness remained largely unchanged, and the effect was more like a simple maintenance cream than an active skincare product with noticeable improvement. For those looking for a mild, safe, and everyday-friendly cream, both the day and night creams can work well, but if you are looking for products with visible and quick effects, you might want more. + for practical and hygienic pump bottle! Pretty Ordinary Product
My skin type: combination with rosacea. I have tested this product over a period of time. The cream has a very light and mild consistency that absorbs quickly into the skin without feeling sticky. It works well for sensitive skin, had no negative reactions after use. Still, I experienced no noticeable difference in my skin after some time – neither in moisture, skin texture, nor firmness. It gave a matte finish and no glow. For me, this became an okay, but pretty ordinary product that didn't quite live up to expectations. I probably won't continue using the product as it doesn't meet my preferences, but it should work fine for someone who wants a light day cream without active ingredients. Disappointed
I've been using this cream for a while now and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. The consistency is very light and feels more like a serum when you apply it to the skin. It gives a slightly cooling effect, which is fine - but that it's supposed to calm the skin... a bit skeptical. I haven't noticed any noticeable effect from this, either alone or combined with other products from Beplain. I'm very happy with the Mung bean pore tight up serum!
