The product does what it promises, but…
I received this COSRX Airy-Light Invisible sun stick (Sun Stick) from Lyko for testing. I am 37 years old, so my skin is already aging, and I also have dry skin. I use sunscreen at least 9 months a year, so I like to try new sun protection products. ☀️ I am familiar with the COSRX brand, but I haven’t tested their sunscreens before. I have tried several similar sun sticks. 🔍 These stick-type sunscreens seem to be the thing this summer. This product definitely does what it promises, but… I don’t find stick sunscreens particularly convenient or useful. 🫣 On makeup-free days, it’s of course easy to add sun protection throughout the day, but only on the face. Applying it to the body takes way too much time, and I can’t, for example, apply it to my back with this, so I prefer to use creamy sunscreen. I also wouldn’t use this over makeup, which means I end up using this kind of product very rarely. 💔 Personally, I prefer to buy sunscreen in cream or spray form. 🥹 But if you like these kinds of sunscreens, this one is definitely worth trying! One of the best under-eye masks! ⭐️
I got these COSRX 5 PDRN Collagen Vitalizing Hydrogel under-eye masks (Eye Patch) from Lyko to test. I'm 37 years old, so my skin is already aging, and especially in winter I even have atopic dry skin. For aging skin, the word “collagen” is a magic word, but I especially emphasize products that promise hydration. I use under-eye masks almost daily, so I have a good basis for comparison 👁️🔍 COSRX as a brand is familiar to me, but I have generally tried very few products containing PDRN. This packaging also has the recognizable orange color that distinguishes this 5 PDRN product line from other COSRX jars 🧡 With most under-eye masks, I have the problem that they slide down my face and don’t stay in place. I like to use under-eye masks especially in the mornings when working remotely, so these patches get a big plus for staying put! These are also one of the few where I notice they do more than just reduce puffiness. Easy and effective serum
I received this COSRX 5 PDRN Collagen Intense Vitalizing Serum from Lyko for testing. I am 37 years old, so my skin is already aging, and especially in winter I even have atopic dry skin. For aging skin, the word “collagen” is a magic word, but I especially emphasize products that promise hydration. 💧 COSRX as a brand is familiar to me, but I have generally tried very few products containing PDRN. The bottle has a recognizable orange color that distinguishes this product line from other COSRX jars 🧡 Together with the toner from the series, this serum feels moisturizing enough. I have used it as a substitute for a vitamin C serum, as the product also promises a more even and brighter skin tone 💫 The serum doesn’t feel sticky at all and doesn’t start to roll under makeup, for example. Moisturizing, rich, but not sticky 👌🏼
I got this COSRX 5 PDRN B5 Vital Soothing Toner from Lyko to test. I’m 37 years old, so my skin is already aging, and especially in winter I even have atopic dry skin. Toner is the cornerstone of my skincare, but I often have to layer toner to get enough hydration. So I’m more than happy to test new toners that promise effective hydration 💦 COSRX as a brand is familiar to me, but I’ve generally tried very few products containing PDRN. The bottle has a recognizable orange color that sets this product line apart from other COSRX jars 🧡 Personally, I don’t like toners that you have to pour into your hands – I’m just lazy 😅 But the product itself is 6/5! 😍 This is much thicker than toners usually are, and really hydrates with just one layer. 👌🏼 It doesn’t feel sticky at all, and even when layering it doesn’t start to roll under makeup. I got this Cool Derman Arctic berry Hydro-Recovery Nourishing face mask from Lyko to test. I’m 37 years old, so my skin is already aging, and especially in winter I even have atopic dry skin. I use face masks weekly, so I was excited to try a new product that promises effective hydration for dry skin 💦 The packaging itself is not pretty in my opinion – it’s very simple and not an “eye candy” in the bathroom cabinet. The product has a slight scent, not at all strong or disturbing. These aren’t the most important factors for me, but always a plus if I like the product otherwise. But oh! 😭 The product is way too runny to actually moisturize and nourish my skin 💔 (Note: I had done my normal skincare routine underneath without night cream) The mask even stung a bit when applying, so it wasn’t nearly moisturizing enough for my skin. As dry skin, I would have hoped for a really rich mask that binds the rest of the skincare and leaves the skin soft and hydrated 🥹 This cream didn’t do that on my skin at least. Maybe it works for oily skin, but the jar does say normal and dry skin. I received this Cool Derman Skin Stamina Green tea balancing gel cleanser from Lyko for testing. I am 37 years old, so my skin is already aging, and especially in winter I sometimes have even atopic dry skin. Very few facial cleansers do not cause tightness and dryness on my skin after washing. Especially gel-based products usually cause my skin to dry out, so I always approach them with caution - even if they say "for dry skin," like this product. 😬 In my opinion, the packaging is not something nice to look at in the bathroom cabinet with this brand 🫣 However, that is a minor issue if the product itself is good and effective. But 😔 Unfortunately, I noticed that this cleanser's ingredient list has Sodium Laureth Sulfate as the second ingredient, which is often used to create foam but is a drying ingredient and not suitable at all for my skin. I don't think the product should be marketed as suitable for dry skin or gentle, as I don't even use hand soap with sulfates because it dries out my skin so much. 😕 I tested the cleanser, and the skin did feel clean after washing but tight and dry. 😪 So unfortunately, I cannot recommend this product at least for dry skin. Good value for money
I got this Cool Derman Advanced Hyaluronic nourishing eye contour cream from Lyko to test. I am 37 years old, so my skin is already aging, and especially in winter I even have atopic dry skin. I have been using eye cream for over 10 years, and my expectations/requirements for eye cream are high. Right from the start, a big plus for the packaging size (30 ml)! Twice as much as eye creams usually have. 🙌🏼 I don’t think the packaging itself is pretty – it’s very simple and “looks cheap,” if you know what I mean. The product has a slight scent, not at all strong or disturbing. The cream itself is as described: economical, absorbs quickly, and feels moisturizing and leaves the skin wonderfully radiant ✨ As someone with dry skin, I would have wished the cream to be even richer, hence -1 ⭐️. Rich and moisturizing 💧
I received this No7 Good Intent Skin Sip Moisture Milkin for testing from Lyko. 💚 I am 37 years old, so my skin is already aging, and I especially have dry skin in the winter. I expect a lot from the toner; I usually have to layer multiple times, as my skin absorbs the first layers of toner immediately. 🌵 Milky toners have been my favorites this past winter, even though dabbing them on with my hands is a bit more cumbersome than in spray form. The product packaging is plastic, but it still feels heavy and "high-quality". I think the packaging is beautiful. And this is actually a MILKY toner! 😍 I have been using the product for a couple of weeks now, and I notice that I reach for it more often than my other toners. Not an essential product, but not unnecessary either!
I received No7's Good Intent Calm Fix Soothing Pads to test from Lyko. 🩷 I am 37 years old, so my skin is already aging, and I especially have dry skin in the winter. I have used similar products a bit, but they tend to end up forgotten at the back of the cupboard. How did these pads perform? 🧐 The product's pink packaging is definitely not a minus for me. 😉💕 The included tweezers, however, are just as useful as nothing: they don't fit in my hand and keep falling off the lid of the pads. That doesn't matter, you can easily take the pads out with your fingers. 🤌🏼 I like that these “cotton pads” are not soaking wet with product, but are pleasant to take out of the packaging and use without making a mess in the whole bathroom. 👌🏼 At first, I thought these would also end up sitting on the shelf, but to my surprise, I have used them every night as the last step in my face cleansing and in the morning before skincare. No7 Good Intent Glow Grind Cleansing Balm
I received this No7 Good Intent Glow Grind Cleansing Balm for testing from Lyko. 🤎 I am 37 years old, so my skin is already aging, and I especially have sometimes even atopic dry skin in the winter. Only very few facial cleansers do not cause my skin to feel tight and dry after washing. However, balm-like cleansers are my favorites, so I was excited to test this completely new brand for myself. 🔍 I love the packaging of this product! After the initial difficulty, rolling it has been easy, and using the product has been much more pleasant than traditional jars. The product spreads easily on the skin, emulsifies well with water, and melts nicely when washed off with water. My skin feels clean after washing, but not tight and dry. 🙏🏼 The product melted the makeup well, and I have nothing bad to say about it. However, it was also not a wow product, even though I still use it.
