I received the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner (No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo 250 ml & No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner 250 ml) from Lyko for testing. Olaplex is a brand I’m familiar with: in the salon, when bleaching hair, Olaplex products have been used, and I also had No.3 Hair Perfector at home. 💇🏼♀️ However, I hadn’t tested these products yet (I must admit it was because of the price tag 💸), so it was nice to get to try them together. I have naturally curly, coarse, and dry hair, so repairing and/or moisturizing products are my “holy grail.” 🌟 The appearance of the products is brand-typical, meaning very minimalistic. I don’t need much from product packaging (the content is more important), but of course, in this price range, a little something extra in the packaging wouldn’t hurt. ✨ The products have the typical Olaplex scent, which I think lingers in the hair even after washing. I like the scent, but for those sensitive to fragrances, the product may not be the best option. 💭 Read my experiences with the No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo 250 ml in the reviews! Normally, after shampooing, I use a hair mask before conditioner (as I said, my hair really needs care and moisture 😅💧), but due to the product testing, I skipped it this time. However, it didn’t matter – the conditioner was really rich and made my hair wonderfully smooth and easy to manage already in the shower! 😍🫧 I used the conditioner as I usually do, meaning when I can, I towel-dry at least the ends before the conditioner, and then I scrunch the product into the ends, after which I let it sit for at least a couple of minutes. 🤝🏼 I, of course, used the products together, and at home, I still have the No.6 Bond Smoother that I bought myself, which I applied to damp hair and then dried with a hairdryer. My hair was really soft and easy to manage, and I couldn’t help but touch it 😅😍 Normally, I either straighten or curl my hair, but it’s been a couple of days since washing, and I still haven’t styled my hair in any way after drying - and yet it’s still smooth! 😱 Even humid weather hasn’t caused the usual frizz. Lovely scent – I wish it were perfect on my skin
I received the product for testing from Lyko. 🖤 I have tried this scent before in stores, as it is a cult-favorite perfume. 💎 However, on my own skin, the scent hasn't worked, so I haven't purchased it for my collection. Now that I have the Libre perfume to test, I wanted to see how the scent behaves on my skin throughout the day. 💭 The scent opens with lavender and, in my opinion, some kind of floral scent, and rosy/floral scents generally don't work on my skin – just like this one doesn't. 😭 The scent settles quickly, at which point jasmine can be detected. 🌸 At this stage, I still don't like the scent on my skin, but I later noticed that I was sniffing my wrists, as musk and vanilla stood out clearly. 😍🤍 So the scent lasts a long time (note: tested as EdP, not EdT), which of course gives it extra points. And of course, the refillable packaging is also a plus! There is nothing wrong with the scent itself – it smells exactly as described, and I think the longevity is good. 🤝🏼 Unfortunately, I don't like the scent on my own skin at first, even though the base notes are enchanting. I have still noticed that I want to test the scent over and over again, and I may have gotten a bit used to it. The scent is a nice addition to my very vanilla-heavy fragrances. 🤎 As with all perfumes, I recommend going to a store to test the scent on your own skin, as everyone's skin is unique and scents behave differently on us. Good product, but no WOW effect 💫
I received the product for testing from Lyko. 🫶🏼 The product is, however, already familiar to me and has been in use for several years. This seems to be the third jar of this product – the previous one just happened to run out. The product promises to prevent hair frizz in humid weather. My hair is naturally curly, so there is plenty of frizz to tame! 🦁 In the first picture, my hair is dried without the said moisture protection, in the latter, otherwise the same routine, but I used Dream Coat Supernatural Spray before drying. The difference in the pictures may not be so clear, but the feel in the hair is: they are much smoother and softer when dried with the moisture protection, and I didn't even have to straighten them the next day, even though the autumn weather usually gives reason for that. ☔️ My hair is so frizzy and naturally curly that I haven't noticed any effect after the next wash. So I use this after every wash if I want to tame the frizz and add manageability and shine to my hair. 🧴 I also have to use quite a bit of product to notice the effect. I wouldn't call this cheap, but with my hair type, I have found the product to be good. I also like that this product doesn't make my hair greasy or look/feel dirty. I received the products for testing from Lyko. 🤍 I tested all the products in this line, so I recommend reading reviews of other products too! 🫶🏼 The packaging has a typical brand appearance, but I like that different product lines have different colors, making them easy to distinguish from each other in the bathroom. The products were put to a proper test with my natural curly, dry, and frizzy hair. The products have a mild, pleasant scent, which I expected based on previous experiences. My hair became very easy to handle and 'slippery' already in the shower! However, the effectiveness will be tested only when drying the hair. I let my hair towel-dry for a while, and then applied the leave-in conditioner. Before drying, I also added this serum to the ends. My hair hardly tangled at all, which is really unusual for my hair type! The hair was also shiny and significantly less frizzy than after the previous wash. It also feels wonderfully soft and healthy 😍 The serum is lightweight, so I applied it to the ends of my dry hair the next morning after washing. However, the effectiveness of the products is only tested when drying the hair. I let my hair air dry for a while, and then applied this leave-in conditioner. Sometimes with such products, there is a risk that too much product makes the hair look/feel dirty right away, but that didn't happen with this one. My hair didn't tangle at all, which is really unusual for my hair type! My hair was also shiny and significantly less frizzy than after the previous wash, before styling.
