Maria Nila Shaping Heat Spray
I have been testing Maria Nila's heat protection for about a month now, the first thing I thought of was the scent: The scent is very fresh and not too intense 🌸 I find that my hair often gets a “burnt” smell after using heat on it, but not with this heat protection. 🎉 It provides a light hold, which makes it easier to style and shape the hair. It doesn't weigh the hair down and left no “layer” of product. I was recommended this by my nail girl. I had high expectations but unfortunately it doesn't hold my curls. Impressed! Protects hair from heat! This one has really become a favorite! The formula initially feels a bit like hairspray, and the hair can feel somewhat stiff right after application, which can be a bit scary, but as soon as you brush through the hair, that feeling completely disappears and the hair becomes soft, smooth, and manageable. Works well for people with very straight hair and fine hair strands!! LOVE IT!
LOVE this product! It feels like a hairspray in the formula, and the hair feels like it’s been sprayed with hairspray first, but as soon as you brush it, it disappears and the hair becomes smooth and nice. But the craziest thing is when you curl it! They hold so well! And the curls can feel “crispy” after applying this, but that disappears as soon as you brush out the curls, and my favorite is to apply hair oil after curling the hair. It looks so insanely beautiful. This also has heat protection, which is a plus, love this, the hair doesn’t get wet, heavy, or greasy. 10/10!! I've been using it for 1.5 months now and my curls HOLD 🥹🫰🏼🌸 I have typically Scandinavian dry and damaged hair, and the challenge was that the curls would fall out. Did not do it for me…
Unfortunately not a hit for my Scandinavian straight hair. Flex pli from L'Oréal is my go-to and works best on my hair. It still doesn't make the styling completely flawless and durable, but it's the best I've tried. Wanted to try this one because the spray is dry unlike L'Oréal. But this unfortunately did nothing for my hair. It gave immediate hold when sprayed, but not enough to keep the styling afterwards unfortunately. It wore off immediately on me. I went from hating to use heat protectants to loving it! I've tried a few different heat protectants over the years, but most have felt completely wrong in my hair. Unfortunately, I ended up not using them because I felt my hair got so gross.
