Nice setting spray that does its job but not the best I've tried. I find that I get shinier/oilier after a few hours than usual, which brings the rating down a bit. Otherwise, the product has a mild and pleasant scent and provides an even and nice application on the face. High Expectations⭐️
Unfortunately, this wasn't quite what I expected, but if you use a moderate amount, it gives a really nice glowy look, in a way that many setting sprays promise but don't deliver. It’s supposed to be matte, which it really isn’t, but since I bought it just because I knew it gives a nice glow, it was still a plus. Additionally, it lasts a really long time considering the amount you get. However, it lays down like a sticky layer on the skin that almost never dries completely. I find that my makeup holds worse and gets patchier, especially if you happen to touch your face before it has dried. You really shouldn’t do that at all, because if you touch your skin too early, you might as well start over. The scent is extremely strong, which feels completely unnecessary in a face product. HICKAP Preppy Prime Setting Spray in Matte Finish is truly a product I find perfect on days when I want my makeup to feel a bit more matte and polished. 🖤 I love glow sometimes, but there are also days when I want a more even and toned-down finish where the base feels a bit more controlled. Then I think this type of setting spray fits really well. I usually use it as the last step after applying my entire makeup. When foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer, and blush are in place, I spray it over my face and let it sink in. What I especially like is the feeling that the makeup looks more cohesive afterward. It doesn’t feel like several different layers, but more like a finished makeup. ✨ What I appreciate most about the matte finish is that I can use it when I don’t want my skin to look too shiny. I still like when the skin looks natural, but sometimes I just want a little less shine. Then Preppy Prime feels like an easy way to get the feeling I’m after without having to apply lots of extra powder. I also find it very useful when I’ve created a more complete base. If I’ve used foundation and then several powder products, the makeup can sometimes feel a bit too powdery right after application. I like to use a setting spray to make everything feel more uniform and more like a whole look. 🤍 Another thing I like is that I can adjust the rest of my makeup based on the result. If I know I want a more matte finish, I can use a bit more powder in certain areas and then finish with the spray. If I want a more natural result, I can be lighter with the powder and let the spray do more of the work. I also like having different setting sprays depending on the makeup mood I’m in. Sometimes I want glow and a more dewy feel, while other days I want something more matte and classic. There I think HICKAP Preppy Prime really fills its own place well. 🌸 For me, this is simply a very practical product when I want a more matte, even, and well-finished look. Super good and affordable setting spray
Super good setting spray. I've bought this several times and I think it makes the makeup blend so nicely!!😍 My makeup stays in place and still looks good after a whole work shift.
