Wow – what a dream product! 🩷
I love how it both protects against heat and deeply nourishes at the same time, you can really feel the difference after just the first use. The scent is absolutely magical! The spray is a bit creamy and luxurious, and the hair becomes so soft, shiny, and easy to style without being weighed down. The spray nozzle is also perfect, it gives an even and fine mist that makes it super easy to distribute the product throughout the hair 🫶🏼 For me with coarse hair, about 4–6 sprays per side is enough. Good scent
The biggest plus I notice when I use this is the scent: it smells refreshing, really salon-like. It's easy to spray on the hair. I've eventually found the limit for how much I can use of the product without getting greasy and heavy hair on day 2, so I'm satisfied with how the hair looks when I use this. It promises a lot in terms of hair protection, but my hair is so damaged that I don't know how to tell whether the product delivers on its promises or not. Not for dry hair
I had high expectations for this heat protectant since it is very expensive and it says that it can be used on both towel-dried and dry hair. But I would definitely not say it works well on dry hair. It makes the hair wet and makes it very difficult to straighten, e.g. it doesn't penetrate the hair and becomes very heavy. I tried to return this but was not able to because it is not a product defect (was partially compensated though) but now I have seen several big influencers (including Sydney Schiffer) say the same thing, that it doesn't work well on dry hair, so I am more convinced that it wasn't just my thin hair that couldn't handle this. I only use it on damp hair before I blow-dry. Before I straighten, I use Amika The shield instead, which doesn't wet the hair and makes the hair strands smooth and manageable when you pull the straighteners through it. I think K18 should change the product description and state that it works best on wet/damp hair. Application
Hi. I have this product, but I find it difficult to apply in sections. I use this as my only heat protectant and leave-in, so I want to apply it to as much hair strand as I can. Something I feel is not possible when I spray directly into my hair. Therefore, I have started spraying into my hands and applying in sections that way instead. Is this an okay method? Or is it not recommended? I feel my dry, thick hair is softer and shinier when I am on day 2 and 3 of curling iron curled hair after using this product. It can help with a more even distribution, but be careful with the amount to avoid making the hair heavy or greasy. For best results, apply the product to dry hair before heat styling, and let it absorb for a minute or two. It can take some time for the hair to show full effect, so it's normal to see more softness and shine on days 2 and 3.
