Very orange for me
I have tried the Anastasia Beverly Hills Bronzer in the shade Amber, and I have both positive and negative things to say about it. The first thing I noticed was that the formula is very creamy and soft, which makes it easy to apply and blend out. It melts nicely into the skin without becoming patchy, and you can achieve an even finish with both a brush and a makeup sponge. It also feels light on the skin and looks natural when you get the right amount. However, I find that the shade Amber leans quite a bit towards orange, especially on my skin tone. Instead of giving a natural sun-kissed or sculpting effect, it can sometimes look warm and almost orange, which is not always the result I want. Another downside is that the product is very pigmented. A small amount is enough, but it’s easy to accidentally pick up too much on the brush or sponge. If you’re not careful, the bronzer can quickly become too intense, and then it takes a bit of extra work to tone it down. Luckily, the formula is easy enough to blend out that it can be saved, but I wish it were a bit more buildable and forgiving. In summary, I think the Anastasia Beverly Hills Bronzer in Amber has a nice, creamy formula that’s easy to work with and gives an even result. Unfortunately, the shade doesn’t suit me very well because it becomes too orange, and the high pigmentation makes it easy to apply too much. The perfect bronzer
What a magical product! I have previously used the Hickaps stick bronzer but find it way too dark/orange for me. I have heard so many good things about this product, so I decided to order it. Since I have a really light skin tone (using milk hydrogrip no.1 as a reference), I played it safe and ordered the shade "sun kissed," which I interpreted as the lightest shade. How to Use:
Using A30 Pro Brush, gently pick up a small amount of product. Apply using light pressure to areas you want to add warmth and definition: cheekbones, temples, forehead and jawline. For amped-up, sun-kissed definition, sweep across the center and tip of the nose. Use pressing motions to deposit color and circular motions to blend and diffuse. Layer for desired intensity. Take it to the next level by applying to the neck and decollate area for an all-over sun-kissed look.
For soft color, select a shade that is 1 shade deeper than your skin tone. For a more sculpted effect, select a shade that is 2-3 shades deeper based on your preference.
PRO TIPS:
Tap off brush on back of hand before applying to the face.
