When I was rummaging through my drawers a few weeks ago, I found this gem that I really want to recommend you to buy! The shade is too light for summer, but at this time of year it suits me perfectly. It has a medium coverage, blends into the skin incredibly well, creamy consistency, and very dewy. My new favorite!
Fell in love with this when the makeup artist used it on me before my wedding. A water-based (so don’t forget to shake!), light but buildable and wonderful foundation that is almost impossible to mess up. Also a smooth pump and a good, large lid that keeps the bottle from getting messy in the makeup bag. The ingredient list is shorter than most foundations, which is a plus for those of us who easily get clogged. If you’re a bit oily, like me, you might need to touch up a bit after a few hours because this is so light, but it’s no problem as it blends in so nicely. ✨ A foundation I truly understand the hype about!
NARS Light Reflecting Foundation in Santa Fe is really one of those foundations that I think gives the skin an incredibly beautiful and fresh feeling. I like bases that even out the skin but still let it look like skin, and that’s exactly what I think is so nice about this one. 🤍 What I’m most drawn to is the finish. It gives a natural radiance that makes the skin look healthy and alive, without feeling overly shiny. I really think it strikes the perfect balance between a polished base and a more natural look. ✨ I also like that the coverage is adjustable. I can start with a thinner layer for a more everyday makeup and then build up where I want a bit more coverage. That makes it work just as well when I want a simple base as when I want to look a little extra polished. The feel on the skin is also a big plus. It feels comfortable and not like a thick layer of foundation, which I really appreciate when I’m wearing makeup for many hours. 🥰 Santa Fe is also a very nice shade if you lean towards the medium-warm side. I always think the right shade makes such a difference for the whole base – when foundation melts into the skin, the result automatically looks much nicer. This is above all a foundation I would choose when I want an even, natural, and radiant base. It feels a bit more luxurious than an ordinary everyday foundation and really gives that extra beautiful finish that makes the rest of the makeup look better too. I also like the NARS packaging – simple, sleek, and very pretty on the makeup table. 🤍 If you like foundations that give the skin radiance without being overly glowy, I really think the Light Reflecting Foundation is worth trying. Oxidizes during the day
